Whoosh!

Well as you can probably tell based on the title of today's post yesterday was a blur to say the least. I was in meetings for a good part of the day and when I was not, I was reviewing things with my team as well as putting a few things to rest that have perked up after all of the layoffs last week. Nothing like jumping right into the fire that's for sure. It makes the day go by nice and fast but the biggest downside is that I was unable to go to the gym because of a management meeting with the CEO's that was rescheduled and of course, right at the time slot when I hit the gym.

Today

As it sits right now today is looking to be "better" although not ideal as far as meetings and my calendar is concerned. I have a lot on my plate and I will need to be very strategic to make certain that I am able to get to the gym as well as make all of my meetings, get some development done on my last game and things of that nature. Not to mention I need to really get with my team, individually and see how things are going - at least with those I did not talk to yesterday.

Finding the "extra" time to do this is seemingly simple but it's very hard to pull off. If not today it will happen at some point this week, I simply don't want anyone to feel as though they are being ignored. Never the case as I like to be open and transparent in my management style, just makes things easier for everyone involved. Not to mention we all forget that it's a 2-way street and I can hope that if I am open and transparent that developers on my team will feel that they can do the same with me.

Otherwise

So other than that I will have to cut it a little short today. I don't have a lot of news or things going on that I can rabble about that would be historical or interesting to be honest. I have found that it can be much more beneficial to get some words down on the entry and call it good vs. waiting for the day to end and recap essentially the same, or worse - forget to do the entry until 11 at night! Thankfully it has only happened a handful of times or less.

With that I will call it done, add to the entry should something exciting come up or rabble worthy. For me its off to a nice hot shower, put on some fresh clothes and get my ass into the studio....
