Friday Doctor Visit

Today started off with an early morning visit to my doctors office. Not the most exciting way to start any day much less a Friday but at least it was for nothing more than a follow up for the most part and because it was an early appointment I am checked in super fast, wait only minutes in the main waiting room before being called into the smaller waiting room for the doctor. Once in there they are really good as well and generally I am sitting waiting for less than 5 minutes each and every time which again is totally appreciated.

There are those other offices that have little to no respect for the patients time and make you wait upwards of an hour before you actually see the physician and once you do they fly in and fly out of the room making the wait and build up to the visit that much more frustrating. Thankfully my doctor does not do this and spends the allotted time with each patient so you do not feel rushed or that you are simply one more appointment they need to get through to finish up the day.

I know in the past at other offices I have simply wanted to get the hell out of there because I needed to get to work or something else now that I had waited for an hour or more to see the doctor. By the time they come in you give them some information, they give you some data, ask you if you need any prescription refills (if you take anything) and not much else. If you have several questions then that is not good because you are only allotted a certain amount of minutes for that visit and you will be required to make a second appointment to then schedule a slightly longer appointment to be sure that you have enough time to ask some questions.

Anyway I guess that is more of a rant than anything else. I know that my appointment will go smoothly today and that is all that I really care about. Those other doctors offices I do not stay with no matter how good the doctor is supposed to be. Thankfully my dentist, doctor and eye doctor all run a really tight ship and respect my time as I try to do in return.

So we will see how today goes, I always worry about my blood pressure spiking up at the office because of nerves but otherwise I am generally in and out as mentioned. They understand that most people get nervous and so long as it's not a crazy spike or looking like a bad trend of spikes then there is nothing to worry about. So yea I guess that is about enough about this topic!

Dinner

So last night when I got home from work I had a really nice surprise waiting for me. Cicely's parents stopped at one of the restaurant / pubs in the Eldorado casino called Brew Brothers and brought us over dinner! Oh man these days there is nothing quite like having dinner ready and knowing that my better half did not have to figure out a way to make it while juggling baby duty. At the same time did not have to try and eat something that I cook and have to lie about "how tasty" it was.

Anyway Cicely had this awesome salad from there that she loves and craves often but we just don't go downtown to get. I had an adult Mac and cheese which is basically Mac and Cheese with these really big noodles, nice thick cheese and topped with big pieces of smokey bacon. Mmm!

Thank you guys so much for stopping and getting dinner and coming out to eat with us and visit. I wish I could have been home in time to join you but no matter dinner was great and appreciated very much once again! Oh and guess what I am having for lunch today - leftovers!!

Photo: So today picture is of my battery backup at work. I was already at work for an hour and a half over when I wanted to leave and figured I would tie up a few more loose ends. I think this was a mistake because not 5 minutes before finishing up my screens went black and my workstation shutdown. Should have had a battery backup you say? Well unfortunately I did and it was apparently on its last leg and bit the dust as well. At least its Friday!
