Where Did Spring Go?

Yesterday was filled with chatter of what everyone did over the long weekend. Things like going up to the lake, laying on the beach and playing in the cold snow melt waters. Going on long bike rides or hiking in the mountains. Many just stayed home and did some barbecuing in their back yards while enjoying the nice weather because Spring had finally sprung! Or did it?

Brrr!

Around 3:00 yesterday afternoon walking back from the gym I noticed that it was getting gloomy and grey outside and the wind was picking up a little bit - I hate the wind on any day of the week or time of the year! Anyway, by 5:00 the wind was blowing much harder, gusting at times and the temperature had already dropped at least 10 degrees!

What is the deal with that sudden change? Was last weekend nearly a tease or was it mother natures way of giving us a nice Easter before throwing one last cold week our way? I don't have the answer to that obviously but I do know that I want the warm weather to come back ASAP.

Sure once summer gets here I along with most everyone else will be complaining about the dry heat and increased power bills from running the air conditioner all day long. Well we can deal with that once it gets here because today it's nothing but wind, cold and crappy out! I want to stay cozy in my shorts and a T-shirt, not bundle up again like I have been all winter long. The other issue is that the A/C is on at work now so by the late part of the afternoon the studio is freezing cold.

Yea I know, 1st world problems and I should be thankful I not only have a job indoors but that I have a job. There are many that would be more than happy to deal with these little inconveniences and I get that. I am simply bummed that spring peeked out to say hello rather than hang out until summer took over. Maybe that will change in the next couple days. Until then I need to go dig out my cold weather clothes again.
