Today we have to take the day off of work instead of yesterday as we had originally planned and scheduled to take off. No big deal other than the fact that it throws off the week a little bit and because there are so many things going on at the studio this week. No matter, there is never an ideal day because there will usually always be 'something' going on.
So yea, we had to head out so we could get Zoey to daycare on time and early enough that she would not miss her splashday at school. She is getting better and better at playing in the water with her friends and figuring out what splashday is all about.
She loves the water in general, mostly when we are at the lake or especially when in the bath. The water squirting out of big yard toys is still new to her. Anyway, made it on time no problem and wouldn't you know it, they postponed it until later this afternoon because the play area is soggy from the sprinklers.

Next stop was the vet and the main reason for taking today off instead of Tuesday. Oggy has been having a few minor seizures that we finally were able to catch on video so we wanted to get him into the vet and checked out so we can either stop doing something or start doing something to help. Fingers and toes crossed for luck that everything will be okay with our little guy. I don't like it when he is not his normal self, I want him to stay healthy and with us forever.
Outcome
So at the end of the day we left with just over a $330 vet bill and all positive information which is just what I had my fingers and toes crossed for in the first place this morning, expensive or not.
The doctor did a standard office visit and checkup on him as well as checked over things to rule out that he had and overly sensitive issues from say a pinched nerve in his spine or something. Thankfully there was nothing like that, instead just a small amount of tenderness in the middle of his back, more than likely from the in and out of the doggy door.
His back bumps that spot everything time he goes out. I would just get a larger door but the next size up is way too big for him and would be a nightmare for us with Zoey as well as the wind and rain blowing it open more than it does now with the mid-sized door he has always used.
Next they did a full X-ray of him from basically his tail to his neck, just behind his ears and were not able to find anything out of the normal other than a super small spot that is common as dogs get older as well as nothing to worry about otherwise.
Last they did a blood draw and are going to run a normal full panel blood test along with a pancreatic test to be certain there is nothing wrong and we can rule those things out or worst case start him on something or change habits while it's early enough to do so rather than wait and wonder.
Tomorrow we should hear back from them and have a better idea of where we stand and how our fuzzy kid is doing on the inside and what he's been possibly keeping from us as dogs do all to well.
Photo: This is a cool cloud shot (I thought it was anyway) that I snapped on the way home the other night. Cicely pointed out the rabbit shaped cloud towards the bottom and the reason I snapped the photo. Good eye Cicely!
