Mega Rain Last Night

Last night and pretty much every night this week we've had mega rain showers hit us in the evening or mid-afternoon. There have been flash flood warnings sent out on phones, television and radio to let everyone know the bad weather is coming and to prepare for it.

My bet is that most people just ignore it or use it as something to talk about on social media. People don't really think about that sort of thing anymore. I think everyone just assumes as long as they have a full charge on their battery that everything will be fine and work itself out one way or another.

Cycling

I was up early with plans to go for an early morning spin, unfortunately, but not I messed around most of the morning making a cool video from our Fourth of July fun that we had last Saturday night at the Aces game. I think that it turned out awesome the second time.

The second time you ask? Yea, because the first time I uploaded it Facebook shxt-canned my upload because I had a longer than 30 second song that they flagged as copyrighted material and I'd have to either protest that I had permission or take it down. So rather than deal with it I just took it down. This lead to me redoing the entire thing which took well over 3 hours for reasons I won't go into for lack of interesting reading.

Anyway, because of this I missed cycling because by the time I could have went it was really hot and sticky out. Then the next chance that I had to go it was about 15 minutes prior to a crazy afternoon downpour once again.

Instead I hit the trainer for 40 minutes and rode for just over 11 miles which was good enough for today and better than not being able to go for a ride at all.

REI & Dinner

Once done with my ride I jumped in the shower while Cicely fed Oggy and got Zoey ready to go. Once out we headed over to REI so I could return the GPS that I bought a little over a month back. I had decided that it was more than I really needed for what I was going to be using it for and how often I would use it.

Doing so puts just over $500 back into my pocket which is nice. I have a bunch of other things I can always use the money for anyhow and still continue to research some of the other less expensive GPS units that will obviously not be as awesome as the one that I returned but should do the job that I would have it for.

For dinner we ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings. We could not make up our mind after the place we wanted to go was closing too close to the time that we would have gotten there. It was okay and did the trick of filling us up.

Zoey always has a good time playing with the crayons at places like that so its worth it just for that. Tonight she was able to not only pull the 3 crayons out of the box on her own she was also able to put them back in. I know what you are thinking, that this sounds so remedial. C'mon, we are talking about a 16 month old and in my book this is awesome use of hand and eye coordination and general basic motor skills.

So that is all for today. We may be going into work tomorrow even though we were supposed to be off and instead take Wednesday off. Oggy had another small seizure today after Cicely gave him a couple very small bites of green apple, something he lives and has had many times before. Not sure if it's the sugars in it that may have caused it or if it was pure coincidence that it happened. Either way we are going to have him looked at Wednesday and determine what's up.

More than likely they will do a blood test on him and possibly some other tests. I am worried about all of the things it could be and all of the things that I have no clue that it could be. He's such an awesome boy and we love him more than most could ever realize. He is such a smart boy too and caring as well. He has been there with me for everything and even with my dad one time. That's Oggy, he loves to snuggle and in turn make everyone feel better.

On that note I'm going to call this entry done and get on with what remains for the night. Have to go to bed early in case I go in with Cicely in the morning. I'm thinking that I will because I want to be there when she takes Oggy in. Until tomorrow, have a good night, day or whatever time it is for you. For me it's the end of the night and chill time again.
