Too Many Monday's

Today is the second Monday for us this week. As if one Monday was not enough we decided to take yesterday off to take Oggy to the vet which split up our days off from work and in-turn made us start the week off two times.

On the plus side, we are nearing the end of the week and another weekend, although a short one compared to last week it's still a couple days off. Usually this gives me just enough time to come up with things to do, make a few purchases at Home Depot, put them off because of one thing or another that unexpectedly comes up and the cycle repeats itself.

Somehow this habit formed after I stopped racing karts. I think partially because I was no longer under the gun, forced to get things done or my race day and everything in-between would suffer because of it. With more free time we seem to waste more time, ugh!

Well at the very least it's good that I'm aware of it I guess which means that I can try to do something about it. Plus once I get caught up I will feel much better and be that much less overwhelmed when things are added to the list again, unexpectedly or not.

Oggy Update

So we, we Cicely received an update today on Oggy and everything is actually looking really good so we have a clean bill of health for the most part. They do want him to be on an anti-inflammatory for a little while, otherwise things are all good with his blood work as they were with his X-ray.

Blood Work
  • Complete blood panel = PERFECT
  • Pancreatic = 30 (ideal is 0-200)
  • No bladder infection
  • Kidney and liver look great
  • Muscle enzyme was slightly elevated, could've been from nervousness during visit
The next step is to:
  • Put him on a anti-inflammatory to see if that helps
  • 2 weeks at a time so we get 14 chewable, 1 a day or half day, half nite etc., Rimadil?
The best way to look at all of this information is that it's really good news for him and he is very healthy overall. They do not think it's anything brain related either. More than likely it's some sort of muscle spasm or pinched nerve affecting him. Just have to take it step-by-step and work through the process of finding out what helps or doesn't for him.

Nearing The End

So it's one more blog entry closer to the end of doing my dailies and I'm actually looking forward to it. I am kinda burnt out doing them everyday and need a break at the very least. Maybe I will do them occasionally or pick them back up and at some point start doing them everyday again. Maybe every week, say on Fridays for example as a kind of recap for the week that just passed by.

Photo: New toy that I am wanting to pre-order from one of the shops. It's the newest model GoPro called the 'Session'. It has a lot of cool features and is not that terribly priced at $399, so we will see if I decide to pull the trigger or not.
