Friday's Here

Alright, after two Monday's this week and getting through both of them with no problems whatsoever, I can happily say that we made it to Friday. The week has been crazy compared to the previous week but not one that I was unable to handle and am continuing to.

Weather

So the weather has been crazy this week, actually this entire month so far has been above the top as far as precipitation is considered. Normally we might get a few sprinkles at the most and this month we've had everything from hail and crazy downpours that have usually started slowly but lasted well over 2, 3 or even 4+ hours.

Around town you can see the aftermath of the rain. Flash flood warnings let us know what was coming but in reality that did little more than provide us with water cooler topics. Once the rain came it washed the mud and debris into the roads, flooded parks and other lowers lying areas and made a mess for lack of a better description.

Today we are supposed to get more of the same starting around 10:00 AM, lasting through the afternoon. The past few have went into the evening so there is always the possibility that this storm will do the same thing today.

On the plus side, the lawn has been looking fabulous and I've not needed to water that much although somehow the water bill has managed to double since this time last month. Never understand how the hell that happens. I still think the company averages water usage in the area rather than take readings per household and bill that way. I hope not, if so I will raise a stink about that bullshxt because that's not how it works.

Lawn

Speaking of the lawn, I mowed last night, holy cow was the grass long! I had to go over everything twice just to let all of the clippings properly cut since I mow without using a bag to put the nutrients back into the lawn. I think it took me around two hours to get it finished and even then I felt as though I might be able to go over it one additional time, of course I didn't.

One reason that it took me longer is because I trimmed a couple of the bushes a little bit and the trimming part is crazy fast, its the cleanup that takes a long time to do. I think all said and done I could have easily shaved off 15 to 30 minutes had I not done those.

Plus I decided to do a really fun pattern with the lawn this week instead of the typical back and forth stripes. I did still do back and forth strips of a sort but they are wavy, following the shape of the concrete patio as well as parts of the concrete mow strip. I think that it turned out really good even though only those flying over in a plane may actually get to see it.

With that, I'm going to go ahead and call it a day. We have not received any of the rain that we were supposed to and it has not been cloudy or anything for the most part. I think if it stays this way then we will take Oggy and Zoey for a quick walk or if Cicely is in the mood maybe we can take Zoey for a ride and get the bikes out of the garage for an hour or so.

Outta Wind

Either way, its the weekend and I for one cant wait for it to begin. I am super tired today for whatever reason and I'm ready to take a nap. It would be sweet if Cicely would let me do so on the way home from work. I mean its not as though should would not 'let me', it's more of the fact that I'd feel bad doing so while she is driving us, Zoey and I that is, home. She was up really late last night too, I think something like 1:30 or 2:00 in the morning working on projects.
