Fuzzy Kid Blues

For some reason the past week or 2 Oggy has been going through "something" and we are not sure what it is exactly. At first we thought that maybe he had a sticker in his paw or maybe a tooth that was hurting him, something physical was our guess.

He would go outside and stay out there for up to an hour just sort of wandering around, occasionally looking towards the doggy door but never coming back inside. If we went out to get him he would never run away, rather always come to us but would coward down when doing so. Something he he never does unless for some strange reason he had done something wrong that we had yet to stumble upon - again, not the case this time.

After several days off this happening off and on and him snapping out of it but being snapped back into the mode the next day the only guess I have is that he has a bit of the blues. Partially from Zoey getting a lot of attention I'm sure. Plus I think he is not used to the crying yet so to him that is like yelling or arguing, something he also does not like to hear and will go hide if it happens.

We have in no way neglected him since Zoey has come home. He gets tons of love and attention and snuggles up with all of us just as he always has. I hope it passes soon though, I really hate to see the little guy in a depressed mood.

The more I think about it, he does tend to go through these mood changes when the seasons change and it always causes some concern for us as to what is the matter and what can we do for him. It passes and we forget about it as well until the next season change comes. Normally it's around the spring/summer change of the seasons though.

No matter I plan to keep a close eye on the little guy and do what ever I can to make him feel comfortable and know how lived he is and so very important to us. After all, he was our first kiddo!

Photo: Yep, looks as though Oggy will have to be on our list of things to keep a close eye on. We don't want him getting Zoey into any bad habits - ha!
