Rush, Wait, Rush, Rush, Wait

As you can tell from the title of my post that's basically what today has been. We have done everything from rush rush rush to wait wait wait. We are finally arriving at work and it's nearly 10:30am. I absolutely hate showing up to work this late. Plus I have one of my team flying in from Colorado so I want to be sure I'm here when he shows up.

Class Photos

So Monday was Zoey's Picture day, I had her there on time and ready to get her photo taken nearly an hour before she was supposed to be there. Fast forward to today and it's her class photo day at 10 AM. That makes us a pain in the ass because we were already late for work and because of it the rest of her class was forced to wait for Zoey to show up. Thankfully we have awesome teachers and they were able to stall the photographer until Zoey showed up!

Lawn Stuff

Lawn guys came out today to do the aeration and to make sure that everything was ready for spring weather. They were supposed to be out much earlier than they were and I guess something got messed up with their schedule before our house so they were almost an hour later than they were supposed to be.

Then on top of everything I was not able to locate the sprinkler heads very easy. Between the grass being overgrown a bit from the mowing last fall, the mushed down blades from the weight of the snow and it all being frozen from the cold morning.

Because of that I had to essentially guess where the sprinkler heads were at based on measuring the ones that I could see, then poking around with the marker flags until I found what I thought was a head. For all I know the head was just a big rock that happened to be in the soil right around that area.

To be on the safe side I asked the guys to not get to close to the areas with the flags just in case. The last thing I want to do is have to replace sprinkler heads this spring. They are supposed to be closer to the surface than they were put in so I would have to dig them out, or around them to be able to replace any broken heads or sprinkler bodies.

In the end we checked on the camera and they were there doing the backyard at that time so hopefully they closed up the gate as it's supposed to be. Usually they are really good about it, we just like to have it locked up and safe for Oggy. I may, in the future, make a temporary makeshift fence for him those days and see how that works.

On the way home now, the day is over as far as work goes so it's time to relax a little and possibly go for a quick spin on the trainer. That is if I can get the fucking dérailleur setup properly on the bike. The stupid ass thing is off once again and I am ready to send it sailing off a cliff! More on that later I'm sure, hopefully nothing but good news though or that I said fuck it and just bought a new bike specifically for the trainer rides.

Photo: This is a really good list to remember. People use all of this too often and it gets annoying and loses value. I actually use 'ping' often, I plan to now stop using it.
