One Year Checkup

First things first, Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone that celebrates the day. Did you wear green? Did you get pinched or tricked by a sly leprechaun? Maybe you were lucky enough to find a pot of gold or something you'd consider gold in your life right now. For many that can be anything from a free coffee to a day at the spa. Otherwise, most simply drink and eat corned beef and cabbage for dinner or lunch to celebrate - Irish or not.

One Year Checkup

Today is the one year checkup for Zoey and I am not looking forward to it at all. From what I have been told by other moms is that she will be getting 5 injections today. I am not looking forward to the days that she gets only one injection - poor kiddo is so happy, and then has no idea what is going on when we suddenly have some stranger hurting her. Not only does it break my heart, it breaks Cicely's as well because she has to sit and watch because I am usually the one that is voluntold to hold Zobug.

As an extra added benefit, but not, I was told that there is a really good chance that she can develop some crazy rash around two weeks after getting all of these injections. It's nothing to be concerned with I guess, though they warn parents so we don't panic and assume that it's the chickenpox, measles or some other reaction to food.

I may add to the post after we get out of the appointment, although depending on how Zoey is doing I may focus my attention on her instead of the internet and this bloggary (diary + blog) just made that up, seems clever - my bet is that its already been thought of and used though I am taking credit for it today because its the first that I have heard of it!

Photo: An amazingly awesomely outstanding cupcake that a friend / person on my team (Amanda) brought me today to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Holy crap are the cupcakes from this place good and even more-so when someone surprises you with one!
