Well as you know if you read yesterday's injury Zoey had her shots for her one year check up and it was not fun for us. Of course it was not that fun for her either because she was the one getting three shots in her right leg and two shots in her left leg for a total of five shots. Even though she got really cool Band-Aids after the shots were done I think she still deserve more, like a gallon of ice cream for being so tough! Heck I don't think I could even handle that many shots in my leg or anywhere for that matter.
Last night she was a little bit fussy which was to be expected after all of that but big picture she did very well. We gave her a little bit of Tylenol when we got home and I think that helped her a lot. She did not wake up in the middle of the night like we thought she might from the soreness so she did not have to take Tylenol again until this morning before school. I have no idea how she has the strength to be able to do that. She is one tough cookie that's for sure and to think she is only a year old that is crazy but that's my girl.
Cycling
Tonight I still plan to try and do a bike ride after I have dinner, panda express is what we're having, I have been craving it for some reason since this past weekend.
Tonight's ride has to again consist of me doing something that has a decent amount of climbing. I have around 3,000 to 4,000 feet that I still need to climb in the next four days to be able to complete the challenge that I am signed up for. I should be able to do it though, crossing my fingers and toes for luck. It's so close that I can almost feel the award jersey on my back!
Quick'ish Week
Other than that tomorrow is already Thursday and this week is really flying by. Maybe I will have a little more something interesting to rabble about at that time. If not, if things remain on the quiet side, I am okay with that. The weather is getting nicer and nicer every day and the days are getting longer! Right now it's already 7:00pm and still nice and bright out.
Because of this I'm getting a huge itch to take some time-off work and enjoy it. Especially now that Zoey is a little older and can enjoy it even more with us and us with her.
Maybe some trips up to the lake again to play in the water like last summer or possibly go up and have some food overlooking Lake Tahoe, soak up a little sunshine. I think all of the above should be in our very near future.
I would like to take a trip to the zoo possibly as well but we will see what the cards hold for a trip like that. Even going to the zoo here locally would be cool but I was unable to find their summer hours on the website today. It only said that they are currently closed for the winter months, opening soon and to continue to check back for updates.
Tax Man
This weekend I have to do taxes and boring shxt like that. I suppose we will see how things go. I am simply hoping that we get some cash back for a change and that hopefully having Zoey to write off will help us out a little more as well this year. Most years we get so flippin' screwed on taxes it really puts me in a downer mood.
No matter, big tax return or not - though I won't lie, I'm hoping for decent if not big return it will be nice to put it behind me. Plus once all the other little straggling crap is out-of-the-way things should get a little more back on track and normalize.
Otherwise not much else to talk about today it was just an average day at the office. I was lucky enough to get to go down to the gym today because my meeting schedule was fairly slow. That always feels good to get in during the week because lately it has been very hit and miss.
Photo: By the looks of this photo you can tell that the grass is greening up and summer is right around the corner. Spring is officially here this Friday (I think). Mowing lawns, sunburns, hopefully suntans are all on the way.
