Whoosh!

So this will be a short entry for a change. As I write this it is actually just after midnight on Sunday and yes I am writing the post for Saturday. I have no real idea how it happened but the day got away from me somehow and for the first time I did not complete my post for a day. So with this entry I am going to append the time-stamp and call it good. Hey it's my blog so I can do whatever works!

Burger

Cicely went and had lunch with a friend today downtown. Unfortunately for some reason I once again cannot remember the name of the restaurant but I think it was called something like Campo. No matter the name, I will be the first to say that it was without a doubt one of the best hamburgers that I think I have ever had. Seriously, no joke!

From the heirloom tomatoes to the local beef, ground in-house and mixed with a small amount of pork for flavor. Add-in the fresh and locally grown vegetables, melted provolone cheese and greens spread just thick enough to add crunch but not make your meat slide around and you have magic.

Speaking of the meat. It was just slightly charred on top, not even close to what you might call burnt but rather perfectly cook in a well-done state. Now I will mention that most patrons would it expect the meal to be this good for the price. Cicely told me she paid - $14 for the burger with a side, a very small side I might add, of home-style potatoes with a garlicky sauce to dip them in that I actually ended up skipping on. But the potatoes were awesome.

I look forward to having a burger there again sometime. It's a little bit on the expensive side honestly and obviously but amazing flavor. Eating one in person would prolly be even better since it would be served hot rather than cold and reheated like I had. No complaints though, because it was so amazing not being fresh off the grill I can only imagine it gets better from there.

With That

I have a few other things but I will save them for tomorrows post seeing that I will probably end up forgetting that one too! I think it's a great sign that I am having a solid weekend. I am pretty exhausted at the moment and plan to finish this up and head off to bed! I hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend and maybe even getting out and checking some of the weekend sales at the various stores. For me, bed-time until next time - good night!

Photo: Tasty new margarita we picked up last week at the store. Not too bad at all and actually easy to drink on a hot August afternoon. Yes, before you ask - I am still having a lot of fun messing with photos in my mobile editors like Snapseed.
