Top Notch Company

Today my email inbox was full of back to school sales from companies I like to buy from but one stuck out in particular - Fox Racing. They have this cool deal going on where if you spent over $100 you not only get free shipping but you can get this kick ass X-Fighters backpack for only $20 friggin' dollars!! I know it probably sounds ho-hum to some, and expensive for a backpack (fine go buy your cheap WalMart shxt). This is a really sweet backpack and I have been wanting it for some time but did not want to drop the $70 on it when I needed more shorts and shirts first. So what could have possibly come of this you ask? Well read on to find out....

Top Of The Podium

So while having coffee I figured what the hell, they are a top notch company with long lasting well made clothing, accessories and moto gear. Pair that up with them sponsoring some of the best motocross, freestyle moto, BMX, mountain bike, wake board and surfing athletes in the world and you can't get any better.

Anyway back to my point. I decided to fire off an email and see if they would possibly honor the deal for me for the backpack seeing how I had just spent a boatload of money with them over the past week and a half, just missing this offer. Well wouldn't you know it - they emailed me back in less than 30 minutes to let me know that they would honor the deal and even better - they would send me one FREE OF CHARGE, including FREE shipping....HOLY CRAP was I, and am I stoked! I will even go far enough to say "the happiest kid on the block" so-to-speak.

So big time thanks to your company for being so awesome to your customers. I am sure you get hounded all of the time for deals, sponsorships and everything in between. Then little-old-me comes along willing to pay and you turn my money away and blow me away with awesomeness. Especially at a time when companies are clawing for market-share, this is impressive and I wanted to say thank you again - and I plan to continue to be a life-long supporter of your brand. And before anyone asks, yes I would have still supported them had they denied the request. Fox is just that good!

Racing News

One more thing racing news related for my purposes when I look back at my entries some day. I guess my favorite NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart was in a pretty bad crash a couple nights ago racing sprint cars at a dirt oval track in Iowa. Reports said that he broke his right leg in 2 places but he is recovering and plans to race again of course - I am sure he will!

So a big shout out to you SMOKE and I hope you have a speedy recovery and the temporary driver in the #14 car can keep it up front and you in the upcoming chase for the cup!

Checkers Or Wreckers

With that I am going to end the race entry here today and call it "done". I may have another company to talk about tomorrow that actually got back to me after they too had a deal several months ago. I had purchased a bunch of lawn equipment and power-tools from them, a promotion started and I missed out on it. The marketing / support group at the company actually contacted me and wants some of the serial numbers to verify it's me, and I really bought the stuff and we will go from there. Exciting stuff, I guess its just my week for awesomeness like this?

Time to head over to moms and check on her well-being. Take her a strawberry shake to make her day a little brighter and make her some dinner. Then it's home, dinner and the usual stuff we do every night. I think we need to take a few days off here soon - we are getting to be in too much of a routine and neither one of us like that really. Ok, enough outta me - hope your day treated you well.
