Still Smokey

So yesterday waking up to the news it was mentioned that the big fire in California was nearly 14% contained which is not much, but it's progress none-the-less. Looking forward to waking up and looking outside to a smoke free valley today was what I had anticipated.

Unfortunately once again the valley is filled with even more smoke and my eyes are once again burning and itching. Worst the fire must have grown because it is listed as only 10% contained now. I know it has been windy in the afternoon so maybe that attributed to the fire flaring up again. I just hope they can get it put out soon.

Deliveries

I did get a package in the mail yesterday that I was excited about, but nothing fun to write about. It was from the hobby shop that I get 98% of my parts and new toys from. I had put in an order Monday night for the replacement parts that I had broke while flying last weekend. I need to work on my flying (as I keep saying) because when you are not on the simulator the crashes run anywhere from $5 to $10 up to $100 or more depending on what breaks.

Now compared to the spares and parts I had to have when kart racing the helicopter stuff is a drop in the bucket. But it's all relative I guess. The biggest difference is with karting 9 times out of 10 it was another drivers bonehead move that would cost you money and repairs. When flying it's always the guy behind the transmitter. I guess once in a while there is the case where a bird or something messes things up and you crash, or possibly another pilot. I would still wager that the majority of them are because of a brain fart or getting cocky.
Putting It Off

I have honestly been putting off today's entry until the very last minute for one major reason - I honestly do not have a dam thing to write about once again other than what I have rabbled on about so far in the past few paragraphs. The day has been crazy-busy, starting off with meetings, zipping right into lunch, then an afternoon workout session - back to my desk and once again pounding out content for my game.

I have a feeling tomorrow will be more of the same but at least it is Friday and I can start looking forward to a couple days to play around. I plan to mess with my bass some more as I have been wanting to lately and the days just get away from me or by the time I get home I am exhausted and simply want to do no-more than play a game on my iPad that requires the least amount of brain power possible!

I would also like to possibly get 2 of my helicopters fixed and take them out for a few flights at the park by home - that would be sweet, that place is awesome for it! I just keep thinking they are going to come out - bitch me out and make me get off the property. I have to keep my cool if that happens - I hate that kind of bullshxt authority.

There is a big-ass soccer field at this facility as well and it would be even more amazing to fly at. Last weekend there were games going on so it was obviously a no-go, but it's really an ideal spot, even better than the baseball fields because there are fewer obstacles for me to avoid but more often, smack into.

I really hope the park is open during the winter months. That way I can throw on some warm clothes, fingerless gloves and go fly just down the road from home. Doubt it would be very busy then, so maybe they do shut down for the winter? I sure hope not!

Anyway, enough outta me - see ya' tomorrow!
