Pretty awesome Saturday if I do say so myself. Not because we had some crazy adventure, bought some amazing new toy or anything of the sort. Really we kicked back most of the day catching up on some of the stacks of tabs that we have in our browsers. Well mostly me, Cicely actually slept in until nearly noon which is actually a good thing because she needs her rest to keep the kiddo going strong. Plus I can only imagine what a toll it takes on the body!
Garage
I did manage to get a bunch more done in the garage today which is awesome! I was planning to start working before noon but one web page led to another and down the rabbit hole I went. Finally getting out there around 4:30 and worked on it until about 9:00.
In that time I managed to mount brackets, assemble and hang the 4 new lights that I bought a week or 2 back. Run all of the cables and neatly tie them up to the ceiling so they not only look good but are up and out of the way. Next was hanging the cord reel that was always offset and on the right side of the garage (looking in from the street) and I always wanted it to be in the middle of the garage behind the garage door opener.
t ended up working out really good and these new drywall mounts that I bought worked perfect, not to mention they will support up to 70 pounds so I should be ok and not have to worry about it falling down when I either yank or trip over the cord.
TV
So I saw yet another ad on YouTube today for the new season of Sons as well as the new and final season of Breaking Bad. Holy crap I cannot wait for these shows to start, but at the same time I don't want them to end for good. Dexter is on now which is cool and ending this season as well so it's a huge bummer to know that we have to find new shows to try and compete.
On top of all of this there is supposed to be a special tomorrow that will announce the new Doctor on Doctor Who. I don't think I am going to watch it though if I can avoid it - I like waiting and seeing The Doctor transition in the show - I have this weird feeling it's going to be a female doctor or maybe even a black or black female doctor. I guess we will find out in a few months when the season finally starts up again.
Yesterday we started watching this Netflix original called "Orange is the new black" and it's another really good Netflix original series. There is only one season right now, I am hoping that they are planning to keep it going though.
Pregnancy
Cicely has been feeling much better the past couple days. The morning sickness is pretty much gone but she still seems to be really tired and her appetite has been up and down. Then once she is starving she has a few bites and the next thing you know it no longer sounds good or is appetizing. From what we have heard it's all part of it. I am just happy that she is feeling better, it's really hard feeling useless and not being able to help her when she is feeling crappy.
On top of it I think we are both stressing out a little bit trying to figure out how to rearrange stuff so we have enough room in the house for our little addition. I mean we don't have that much crap, but in one sense we do because we each have our own room. I have my computer / office room and Cicely has her studio / workshop room.
Now we have to figure out a good way to be able to combine those into one room, which will be my office. The little one is getting Cicely's room. We were going back and forth and I think that makes the most sense and so does she. Her room currently is so jam packed that you can barely even walk in there so I honestly have no idea how we will pull this off - but we will. Even if I need to get rid of more of my shxt by donating it, putting it outside or something.
Yea time to stop talking about it because it's stressing me out again. I want to be sure everything is ready to go for the addition is all that it boils down to. I guess others do it, at times with much less - we will manage! I look forward to the challenge and all of the rewards that come from our hard work.
Enough
As it is I feel like I am stretching to find something to fill up a little more white space on the journal today so I am going to cut it off right here. Time to watch some more TV with Cizzle and relax before the rush rush of Sunday, then the work week is upon us again!
