Not a whole heck of a lot to write about today. I have not only been doing anything more than slumming around the house while skipping and dodging out on the things I really should be doing throughout the day. Ahh it's my Sunday so I will do with it what I want - yeah!
The Depot
So I did manage to get out of the house for about 2 hours today. I ran down to the local Home Depot and picked up a few things that I needed for the garage project as wells as a couple of these cool Plano brand containers to hold helicopter parts for my Nano and 130x. I wanted to wait to get anything for my bigger bird, the 450L Dominator, until it comes in the mail and I have a better idea of the parts sizes and spares I will actually be in need of.
While at Depot I noticed that it was really packed for a Sunday, early afternoon. Whats worse is that it was packed mostly with hippies and hipsters running around the store. Buying bungee cords, reflective material and all sorts of other random shxt. What is going on I thought? Then it hit me - it must be all of the burners getting their last bits of gear and supplies to head out to the black rock desert for their annual "stick it to the man" event.
It's friggin' funny really. The event is nothing more than a huge camping event for trendy hipsters and related groups. Well and to give them the excuse to run around half naked (or fully), doing random things - drinking, drugs and whatever else they want.
Don't get me wrong, I mean there is actually a lot of cool art and stuff that happens, but for the most part anymore it's really just an event and nothing what it was in the beginning. Buying tickets a year in advance, renting RVs and putting fur on bikes. I wont even get into the issue of the mess that is left out there after they week long event is over. So I will shut up and leave it at that.
Drained
Ok I think that does it for what I am calling today's entry. I need to try and get a few little things done still as well as my bi-monthly haircut. After it will be time to watch Breaking Bad and Dexter while we have dinner.
One nice thing about Sunday nights right now are those 2 shows. Sons of Anarchy is coming up soon, a week or so I think, so that will be awesome as well. Otherwise it has been Battlestar Galactica one or two times a day and the Internet, books and related in-between on the weekend. I was going to fly today but it was too windy and I still need to do some repairs and upgrades on the 130x. The Phoenix simulator comes in handy on days like this.
Ok super busy week ahead for me at work. I have to get a ton done and with us having a couple extra days off as well as Cicely's doctor appointments this week for the baby I will have to have some serious focus to get it all done. In bed early tonight is my plan - hope I can stick to it after taking a 45 minute nap this afternoon! Have a great night and roll smoothly into the weekend!

Photo: Typical burners transportation and week long home. Yep, really "stickin' it to the man" peeps.
