Sleeping & Runnin'

Another day off from work and it's great! I love being able to get up and do what ever I feel like doing in the morning.

Cicely actually stayed in bed until almost 11:00 AM. Me on the other hand - I was up and out of bed by 6:30 AM. She has a good excuse though and really, it's the best thing for her right now because she will be entering her 2nd trimester next week.

Some foods are starting to sound better to her, mostly Taco Bell for some reason. That is fine according to the doctors. It's really just important that she is eating. From what they said, it's completely normal for pregnant women to crave carbohydrates and junk food and rare that anyone craves fruits and vegetables much less eats them.

I now have to keep an eye on my waste line because of this green flag she has been given. Otherwise I will blow up like a balloon if I am not careful.

Running Around

Other than that we are running around today getting things done that we did not accomplish yesterday. Mostly running to the drugstore to get additional vitamins for Cicely.

After we do that I still need to run past the place that sells safes so I can look at the models that I am interested in buying up close and in person. I have a few models picked out from their website but seeing them in person is still helpful.

Concrete

Managed to get the concrete quote yesterday and we are stoked to report that it was an except tent one and right within our budget - woot! What's more is that we are also having some drainage done in that area so we don't have the constant flooding of the area during heavy rainfalls and during the winter.

I am almost even more stoked about that part of the project because it will eliminate this stupid drain pipe that I have had to put in over on that side of the house for years. Then manually drain the thing every time we have big storms. Yea trust me, it's about as much fun as it sounds to do.

Ribs

Oh the annual rib cook off is this weekend in downtown Sparks. I have no idea if we are going or not. We usually do, mostly for me because Cicely is not a huge fan of ribs. "Too much work for a small amount of sweet meat" she always says. See she is more of a salty meat and black beans kind of girl. I am the opposite, but like both.

The Border

I think that does it for today. I am heading to food at, you guessed it - Taco Bell to get Cicely some lunch because she is not only hungry but as mentioned - it sounds good to her.

Once back home it will be time to fly the helicopters in the Phoenix flight simulator some more and work on my crappy hovering skills.
