What's In A Name

So for the past few days since going to the last baby doctor appointment Cicely and I have been kicking around names like crazy. I never would have thought that picking a name for your kid would be so difficult.

It's true, we do have a lot of rules we are trying to stay within. Things like making sure that it flows well if we choose a family name for the middle name. Making up names that he may be teased with at school and in life in general. Most importantly a name that we both like and can agree on.

Some of the names that we really like for various reasons are Enzo, Aidden, Xavier, Orion to name just a few. All boys names of course since that was the best guess the doctor had at the last appointment.

If we end up finding out that it is actually a girl then that makes things about a hundred times easier. We have had a name for a girl for a really long time, just no middle name. Her name would be Zoey which I think is a really strong and pretty name for a girl.

Oh well this is part of the fun and the experience of pregnancy. I am sure that our names might change a handful or more times before we get to meet the little one in person. That is totally ok because we are in no rush, we want to enjoy this magical experience to the fullest otherwise it will be over before we know it.

Friday

In other news, today is our Friday because we took off Thursday and Friday this week to give us a 5 day weekend. I am looking forward to it and hope to get a lot done as well as rest up. September is going to be a crazy month for me at work so I want to be prepared.

Fire

This smoke is burning my eyes and driving me crazy. I would have thought it would be gone by now, no such luck. I have not checked to see if the fire is still burning out of control or if they have been able to get ahead of it. Either way I hope it is out soon. Not only for personal selfish reasons but for the well being of those in its path. Animals, homes and everything in between.

Clock Out

With that I think I am done for the days entry. I need to dive back into my day and look for more boy names. Like I said, it's a lot of fun but much more difficult than I anticipated it would be. A friend of mine that I went to high school with had another kid today and named him Mason. Wonder how they came up with the name. Ok back at it.
