Early Monday

Did not even hear the alarm clock go off at 5:20 AM this morning, I must have been sleeping much deeper than I realized I was. Lucky for me Oggy was up and starting to wake me up so I would be sure to make him his breakfast and he could then get in with his day.

You know, walking the perimeter of the back yard checking for any smells that were out of place or those that needed a refresher by him. Chasing the occasional bird off of his lawn and that sort of thing. It's a tough life for a fuzzy kid so they need their morning meal to fuel the activities.

So I have to say thanks to my fuzzy kid today. Without him being up and ready for the day I probably would have overslept even more than the 45 minutes that I did.

Check Up

The reason we are up and out of the hose earlier than usual is so that I can make an early doctor appointment. I really get tired of going to the doctor every 3 to 6 months and feel it is a little bit of overkill to be perfectly honest. I realize if you need prescriptions filled and that sort of thing then they need to have you there for that.

Problem is that most doctors will only give you refills for 90 days most of the time. This becomes a real pain in the ass trying to get them filled. Especially if you fill them online like I do to save extra money.

Well today should be nothing more than a regurgitation of what I was told a few weeks back at the appointment where I had the upper G.I. procedure done. He may want some blood work done before my next visit and want to see if I need any medicines or anything refilled. Pretty basic stuff, almost too routine if you ask me. But it is what it is and to maintain a certain health, well at least monitor it, then it has to be done.

Pretty much seams that anymore primary care physicians do nothing more than fill up your prescriptions, listen to your heart and lungs - check your vitals and send you away for some blood work as needed. If there is anything new or interesting then they get you into a specialist and get you back into the office to see how that went, only to send you back to the specialist for a follow-up. A little annoying to say the least, but what ya' gonna do I guess. With all of the legal drama, people abusing prescription medicines and so forth they probably have no choice but to err on the safe side the majority of the time.

Otherwise

In all other aspects it's nothing more than a typical Monday morning. The smoke from the fire is back although I heard they have it nearly fully contained now which is great news!

We watched Breaking Bad last night and it was an awesome episode, opening up even more craziness in episodes to come. We did not watch Dexter but we will tonight. It was already midnight when we got finished with Breaking Bad so we figured it was in our best interest to call it a night.

Right now it's time for me to do the same with this post and call it a day. I hope your Monday is treating you well so you can roll into the week on a positive note. If not, do your best to make it happen - you are in control.
