Covered In Email

Stayed up way too late last night watching shows that we had recorded on TiVo and normally watch Sunday nights although earlier in the evening.

No matter I need to remind myself that I am not in my 20's any longer and staying up until 2:00 AM does not work out that well when I have to get up at 6:30 AM to get moving and into the studio.

Great weekend even though it was nothing crazy, so I think mentally I did not want it to end and it did; hello Monday.

Covered In Email

To some my gripe will be nothing more than a roll of the eyes, but for me it was more of a WTF are you doing to me people, lets roll into the week a little smoother than this!

What am I referring to you ask? Well the 75+ new emails that I had this morning that pretty much happened between late Friday night after I left and earlier this morning. All relating to my current game development less a few, maybe a handful at best.

I guess on the positive side I try to look at days like this as an opportunity. An opportunity to get some coffee, sit back in my chair and read for an hour. Eventually replying to those messages needing feedback and basically rolling into my day on my terms the best that I can without stressing over it. Sounds like a great plan don't you think?

Traffic

It's the first day back to school for all of the kids and the traffic today is crazy because of it! I have no idea why it would change so much but it does each year when school is in or out of session.

Normally they would not start for another 2 or 3 weeks I think, but this year I heard that they did this to allow for a little more vacation time around the holidays, fall and other's. all I know is that for some crazy reason it extends our commute by nearly 10 minutes on normal days and upwards of 15 to 45 minutes on the days we have snow and ice.

TV

So as I had hoped both Breaking Bad and Dexter were awesome last night. If I had to choose a winner for the night I think it would be Breaking Bad. It started off exactly where it left off last season with Hank finding Walters book and putting the pieces together who W.W. was relating to. With the season opener ending with Hank and Walter in Hanks garage confronting one another, threats were made and one fist flew Walters direction that left a pretty decent mark on the right side of his face. Crazy is about all I can say, well, and that it's going to be one hell of a ride!

Switching channels over to Dexter now it was a good show don't get me wrong. It simply felt like we were being reintroduced to some charters of the past and re opening those memories. Most likely it's a setup for something bigger going on next week.

Bringing Hanna back into the show as well as Dexter now teaching a rich kid his code, or at least a modified one, should prove to be interesting. I am sad to see it end this season, but excited to find out how they tie it all together.

Last but not least Sons of Anarchy will be starting in 2 or 3 weeks although I read somewhere that it will not be the final season of it like everyone expected, myself included. Should be an ass kicking season though.

Alright, that will do it for today's entry. I hope that you did not just read spoilers. If you did don't worry, there is so much going on in each of those shows that it really won't make a bit of difference. You will be so wrapped up in the moment that you won't see any of it coming!
