Later in the week we go to the regular OBGYN / baby doctor and I think at this appointment we get to have another picture done of the baby. This time it should look more like something human vs. last time when we had a photo of a little fried shrimp looking character kicking back in there.
I am super excited and cannot wait to see more pictures of the little one. I get butterflies just thinking about it! It's all still a little surreal at times because other than being sick to her stomach off and on and other first trimester symptoms it still does not seem like we are going to have a baby. I think it will hit me / us once she has more of a bump.
Of course last night I was folding some laundry and came across some of the baby clothes we bought at the big Hidden Valley garage sales and that was kinda weird. Almost like "who's clothes are these"?
Holy cow there are even more tests that Cicely will have to do. Luckily they are all pretty easy and just a blood test. If there is anything odd that shows up then it would lead to a test with a big needle into the belly to get some embryonic fluid and test for extra chromosomes in the 13, 18 and 21. Hopefully there is no reason for that one - it does not sound like fun plus it increases the risk for a miscarriage. Only about 1 in 1000 but that is still not the best of odds in my opinion.
Nothing to worry about now though. We will do these first tests and see how the results turn out and go from there. I know Cicely does not want to do the embryonic test because of the risk and honestly it scares me as well. But to me it's better to know and it's worth the low risk. For now I plan to be positive and assume we will not have to do it.
TV
So both Breaking Bad and Dexter were awesome last night. I think that if I had to choose the best it would be Breaking Bad this week. Walter came up with a killer way to get his brother-in-law Hank off of his back by doing this brilliant confession tape.
It basically said that Walter has been working for Hank all this time and that Hank was the ringleader of it all. His connections with the DEA and Walter being a chemist were ideal and how he managed to do it.
Dexter had a lot more Hanna in it as well as his sister Deb getting way more involved with things she should not be involved in.
My theory about the physiologist being the "brain surgeon" killer was close but not correct. It appears that it is actually her long lost son that was supposedly killed in a fire in a mental institution when he was like 6 years old. I guess he is above average in the intelligence department and set the whole thing up when he was there.
Still both were great and worth staying up until nearly 1:00 AM on a work night. Only 3 episodes left of Dexter. Not sure how many are left of Breaking Bad. I will be bummed to see them go.

Otherwise it's an average Monday. Super smokey out once again which really sucks ass. Yesterday we were actually able to see the blue sky again and figured the fire and smoke was over. Nope not the case, it's thick today.
Happy Monday, I hope it treats you well. If not, try again tomorrow. It's a short week for us so I need to be sure I don't let the week run away from me!
Photo: Today's photo. Initial guess is a boy. Should know for sure in 7-10 days once we get the blood work back.
