Car Service

Out of the house today and its a 2 car commute day today. Pain I  the ass really because it wastes so much fuel since we are both going to the same place.

Service

So the 2 car commute was because of my Sportage needing its oil change, filters and all of that good stuff. I am about 4k miles away from where I should be as far as today's service but when you have the all wheel drive and bigger turbo charged motor they are really particular about you getting in for services right on the nose.

Meaning months or miles which ever comes first. I am more of a months guy because I don't put on as many miles as most people but with this car it does not matter. So I always end up going in about 2 to 4k miles early.

I am having them check out an annoying noise that has been coming from the speedometer area. I hope they can figure it out and fix it. At the same time doing so without creating new noises. I guess I will know the outcome sometime later today - fingers crossed for luck!

**Update: The service went good, they had to replace my interior air filter as well as the cars filter. Rotated the tires and added new wipers for me as well so I should be good-to-go until spring! As far as the noise goes I am not entirely sure yet, I have not driven it on the highway. They said that they were unable to hear it (as always) but there was a similar fix in the books that they did anyway and hopefully that will be the same issue I was having -- sure hope so.

Weapons

On the way back from picking up the car I stopped at a firearms dealer that is right on the way. Wow did he have some great rifles that I would really like to have. One of them was a Ruger Mini 14 .223 caliber. All stainless steel, fold-able stock and a bunch of other extras. The other was this nice Mossberg "Persuader" model 6 shot 12 gauge that would be great to own. I will have to kick it around a little bit. Worst case I may have to pick up the shotgun at the very least - it was a great deal and a really good looking rifle. More on that later if I pick something up, well "maybe". Dunno how much more free data I should give the NSA about my purchases <wink>.

Grassy

Otherwise that will be it for today. The days are getting shorter and its already nearly dark out and I have to get my ass home and mow the lawn front and back as well as all the other stuff that goes along with it. Cicely already left work for the day so I hope she is resting. She has not been feeling too good and the pregnancy has already been kicking her butt a little with nausea everyday. She is tough as nails though and will get through it - that I know!

Photo: Finally found some .22 ammo. Too bad only 1 brick per customer.
