Final Review Day

So I am happy to report that today is not only the final day better known as the deadline for D-Day of having my midyear reviews done for my team I am actually on track to finish them today. I was almost certain that I was going to fall behind and be late in doing so because of the last-minute need to accomplish all of them.

Last night I stayed up extremely late and then got up really early this morning to write the final one. I will take care of the one on one phone calls and then go from there.

On the flip-side today is also my review and I was unable to get to work on time so I have my manager waiting around for me to complete it not a good thing. I sure hope that this does not have an impact on my overall score and performance. Doubtful, still makes me feel like a total asshole.

Done

So I finally made it to work at a decent time and was able to take care of my review. It should have went for only an hour or maybe even only 30 minutes but it ended up going for well over an hour and a half. This is fine because there was a lot to talk about.

Once done I started in on the final three reviews that I had to do for the day. They took a little longer than anticipated and I ended up skipping eating lunch just so that I could get through them. It's a small price to pay to make it on time. They all went well and I successfully finished the last one at nearly 6 o'clock which gave me just enough time to go pick up Zoe and head home for the day.

I am glad that is over with for several more months and here on out I need to start them a little earlier whenever possible even if I just write notes in another program and then copy and paste them in. There has to be a better way to do them that does not require so much time.

No matter, all done for now so that means it's time to kick back and relax and go to the movies tomorrow and enjoy the day.
