Face Painting

Today is the final day of 'wacky week' at school for Zoey and I think we have probably had more fun with it than she has! Mostly because she has no idea what we are doing, she will one day though and be pissed I bet! I hope so anyway, embarrassing your kids is a big part of parenting, right?

Our plan was to get her to school by 8:30, the scheduled time for the Cuddly Kittens to have their face painting done. We were running a little behind so she made it a little closer to 9:00. From what the one teacher told us, that should still be okay and she should be able to slide in and get her face painted when another class does theirs.

Not all parents allow their kids to do the face painting because they either think that it's not something that they want on a kids face or they have concerns that their children will have a negative reaction to the paint that is used. Me, I would rather have Zoey participate in anything and everything that she can. Then if for some reason she does have a reaction and get a rash we know. To me this is better than us at say Disneyland, get her face painted and she has a bad reaction and wham, there goes the entire trip.

Sure this could still happen if different paints were being used for example. Although my bet would be that there are standard types of paint to use any more. Especially with all of the tree hugging freaks out there, scared of everything.

I look forward to her face painting experience and I hope that she is able to get something fun painted on. I of course also hope that she does not have a negative reaction to the paint so we can get her face painted any time that she wants going forward. Everywhere from the local fairs to the rib cook off we have in downtown Sparks every summer.

Possibly more on this later today or in tomorrow's rabble rabble. It all depends on how the day goes and how sore my joints are from typing with my thumbs on this dam keyboard!

Photo: This is a cool photo that popped up on my revolving desktop PC background earlier in the week. I thought it was really cool so I snapped a photo of it to use here one day.
