Wind, Snow, Hail, Sun

So Sunday was extremely nice outside in the one day that I missed going for a bike ride because I had so many other things going on. Not to mention I had a lot of things I kept putting off which ended up extending the morning and me being able to actually get going on my day. In reality I should have just dove in first thing instead of procrastinating.

Anyway, my point for today is that it was nice, really friggin' nice! Warm but not hot, no wind to speak of or anything. Yesterday was not bad, a little colder and eventually really windy although still dry outside. Today, not so much the case at all.

When I first got up to go outside and do 20 miles or so on the trainer it was windy out and that was it. Fast forward to the point that I got off the bike and was done with my spin, only an hour later by-the-way and I could hear a rattling on the garage door, as though the wind was blowing fine sand against it. The thought that it could be rain, snow or hail crossed my mind, soon leaving because it was too warm out - or so I thought.

Once back inside to start my coffee and then get ready for work I opened up the blinds to be surprised by the fact that not only was it snowing outside and sticking, I had the sprinklers on, d'oh! That is all I needed was to have the sprinklers or parts of the irritation system freeze! I immediately went out to the garage and turned them off, still blown away that it was actually snowing.

I say it all the time, as do many that have lived around here for a long time or their entire lives - if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes to an our and you will have something new to either enjoy or complain about. This of course only holds true when the weather is out of character.

If its the middle of the day in July or August and burning hot outside more than likely that will be the way it will stay until the sun goes down behind the mountains. On the flip-side, if it's raining or windy out of the blue, you can usually wait the five minutes to an hour and get 'new weather'.

Dinner

Last night we went to dinner with Cicely's parents and her sister Danika. It was a lot of fun and they enjoyed seeing Zoey as well, just as we enjoyed the time with them. The place that we ate at goes by the name 'Hash House Go Go' had massive portions - crazy massive! We could have ordered one or two items off of the list and all six of us could have easily eaten and been happy and full.

Nope, not us, instead we each ordered something different, that being whatever we wanted to have for dinner and lemme tell you, we took almost all of it home to have for lunch today or dinner tonight depending. It was even unique in the way that Cicely's dad had a beer and it only comes in a brown paper bag, 'hobo style' - how funny is that?

Anyway, it was a lot of fun and a lot of food. Then after it was all said and done and there was no way that we could have had one more bite they came out with this massive chocolate or snickers candy bar flavored bread pudding with a big scoop of ice cream on top. The employees sang happy birthday to Cicely and handed us a bunch of spoons and napkins.

I am not much of a bread pudding fan at all, this bread pudding was great and I had several spoonfuls of it! Actually everyone at the table did and we still had more than half of it left to take home if you can believe that!

Crazy Car Oddities

I need to get a video to my car dealership or to the manufacturer of the car. There is something weird going on with the steering wheel controls where they are backwards, completely swapped or just messed up. Usually it snaps out of it and works as it's supposed to - not this time so there is nothing I can do other than contact them.

I really don't want to have to make an appointment and drop it off unless they know what the issue is and how to fix it. Otherwise I worry that it will fix itself as it has in the past and they may assume it was something they did. I does have a tendency to go away on occasion and fix itself. Because of this I figured the best thing to do was a video demonstrating the problem and what's going on so that when they look at me like I'm crazy I have something for evidence.

So while sitting in front of the daycare while Cicely ran Zoey in, I did a video of it in hopes that this will help them fix it. As I told Cicely, you watch, because it's a 3 minute video there will be no-one that will be able to receive it and watch it now. It's okay if so, I am planning to upload it to YouTube so they can click a link instead of me worrying about whether or not the video made it to them and if they were able to view it.

Hopefully it's nothing more than a software update that needs to be ran on the stereo system. Otherwise it could be a much bigger issue I suppose, I hope not! I can't see how it could be, to me it has 'software update or software problem' written all over it. Not 'replace the steering wheel' or 'rewire everything'.

Yep, Seriously Enough From Me

Anyway, enough out of me and maybe more on the car issue later. I need to focus and start diving back in and getting shxt done, have a wonderful day!
