Well just as the title says today is Cicely's birthday. Happy birthday Cicely I love you very much and I hope you have a great day! It's unfortunate that both of us are sick today and so is Zoey. I think the only one that is not sick is Oggy, of course he never seems to get sick and if he does he is over it by the next morning.
More than likely this means that they will be little to no activities today in celebration of Cicely's birthday. If she decides that she wants to go somewhere and have lunch or possibly dinner I am all for that as well even though I don't feel one hundred percent, we have to eat and it would be fun to go somewhere to do so.
On the flip-side if she would rather spend her birthday at home getting some rest and doing some of the things that she's been wanting to do around the house or with her projects that is fine as well. She just needs to let me know what she would like to do and we can go from there or play it by ear.
Most importantly, I wish you a very happy birthday and I love you so very much. Although it sounds cliche, I mean it with all my heart when I say that I look forward to one hundred more birthday celebrations with you.
Cycling
I think I am going to try and do a small ride today if I can get up the energy. Yesterday I was able to go for a decent ride but it was cut short because I just was not feeling my best, my head was all clogged up and a headache was looming. Not to forget the wind was blowing hard as well.
In the end I was able to go for a ride while Cicely and Zoey chilled for a few. Unfortunately the weather has been crappy, well dry but windy, so I ended up going on the trainer for just over a half hour. It was a good ride though, just not as good as being outside and cycling. Realistically, I would have not enjoyed the outside ride as much today anyhow, this cold that I have is kicking my ass. My head has been pounding for a couple days now and will not go away, same with the cough. Add that to the wind outside and working harder to push forward intensifies it all.
Birthday Girl
So we did not do anything to speak-of for Cicely's birthday today. We slept a lot and relaxed to try and get over our colds - not that much fun. For dinner we did head out and go to Outback Steakhouse which was nice. Cicely picked it after waking up from her afternoon nap - basically, okay more like exactly, looked over at me and said "I am going to feed Oggy, make Zoey a bottle and once they are done we are going to Outback, so be ready!". What could I say to that other than "okay, I will be ready when you are, promise".
This worked out great and gave us an excuse to get out and get a few things done that we need to for Easter tomorrow. Zoey does not fully understand the concept yet, it does not mean that we can't have fun starting to teach her about it. I mean her first Easter egg hunt at school went really well and she ended up with four or five eggs. We put the extras into her basket, she was happy once she found the first one sitting there on the floor and started playing with it. That was the awesome part, she could care less if she was able to get one or one hundred eggs, she was happy just being part of it and sharing with the other girls in her class.
Tomorrow
More on all of that tomorrow though once Easter is officially here and Zoey does her next seek and find for plastic eggs, filled with goodies. Cicely's parents are planning to come over as well to give Zoey a basket and see her so she will love that, guaranteed. We have to keep that in mind so we don't over-do her basket, I am sure that Cicely's step-mom, Kay, will get Zoey a nice big basket with all sorts of goodies and toys in it.
Photo: What's left of the bread that Cicely absolutely loves at Outback Steakhouse. Zoey is a huge fan of it already as well and likes us to put a dab of butter on it for her before she will open her mouth to take a bite of it. So friggin' cute that little girl is, so friggin' cute.
