Super cold over night and because of it they had warnings on the news letting everyone know to put plants and related inside the garage or house if possible. My hope is that the irrigation system is okay and I don't have any pipes burst or anything from it, that would suck! I could turn off the system but it's a pain, not as much as fixing broken parts of course so hopefully I don't regret my decision.
Wild Fire
We saw a fire truck heading south on the way home and did not think much of it because of the cold temperatures, rain and snow this morning. I guess there was a wildfire somewhere so they are bias casting the usual warnings, how to prevent the fires and what to do about them if you need to be evacuated or similar. Normally we don't start hearing about that until closer to May or June so that is a bad sign if we are getting them while it's still cold and wet.
Anyway, hopefully it was not too bad and they were able to get it under control in a reasonable amount of time. Part of me has to wonder if the local news casters are being morons and reporting on a wildfire that happened in California over the hill or something. So they are using that as an example to remind us about the season and have news to report. Really lame I know but I would not put it past them if local news is light.
Photo: Today I did not have much in the way of a photo so thankfully I had taken a random photo in the parking garage when we went to dinner Monday after work with Cicely's parents.
