Their guess was "at least 2 inches of rainfall based on weather patterns". From what I heard on the radio report while waking up today, they estimated we ended up with less than 1/8" of rainfall. Even that measurement leans toward the generous side.
Today it's back to nice weather and only a t-shirt and jeans is necessary to stay warm. I do have a jacket on only to keep the cold off of my arms and to stay warm tonight when we leave work and the sun has lowered revealing the clear nights sky.
Feels great, although as I have mentioned many times before, I feel bad for the ski resorts and honestly don't know how they can survive so many dry seasons financially.

Cycling Weather
Here's to hoping the weather will be nice this weekend and I can get some cycling miles in on the road. Speaking of which, I went out Monday evening to go for a ride on the Wahoo trainer and put some miles in on Zwift island only to find that I had a flat front tire on my bike.
Initially I had plans of putting on my warm gear and heading out with my lights, reflectors and so on to do some miles out on the road because it was such a nice night. That would not have happened because the last thing I would have wanted to do is change a flat before heading out.
'I am happy that it was not a big puncture in the tube as they usually are when its a goat head. Generally the smaller punctures tend to be a sliver of metal or some sort of very small thorn that I could have ran over from tumble week or related. The gutters were fairly dirty, it's winter after all so there is not as much bike or car traffic and the street sweepers are not out this time of year as far as I know. Otherwise this would have sucked big time.
I would have had to stop in the cold and swap tubes. More than likely I would have called Cicely to come pick me up unless it was less than 5 miles into my ride. At that point it's easier to just fix it and ride on. On the other hand when I have had days that I get multiple flats in a very short amount of time it's crappy in every way.
The hope with the new bike is that because I have the tubeless setup and the wider tires I should be much less prone to the punctures that I am use to getting. In reality and based on what I have been reading there is a good chance that I could not have a single flat for the entire cycling season. I am not sure if I would put my money on that bet, but should it be the case - I am all for it!

Leadership
Received an email today at work that I am scheduled to attend a 2 hour training session on workplace violence, how to identify it and how to respond to it should it happen in your area.
So long as everyone takes the training seriously and the content is relevant versus badgering those that may have firearms or training with firearms like I do that legally allows me to carry a concealed weapon. It's always the case that you have the uneducated, highly educated people in the class. Especially in a leadership situation. Many type 'A' personalities and the like.
Anyway, I doubt we will get that deep into it but you never know with all of the uneducated people that surround us on a daily basis that have a fear of everything that they do not understand or take the time to understand. That is my biggest issue with this type of stuff. Those that think they know it all but only know what they think they know based on bad information or the mass media interpretation of it which is worse!
Later Gator
That will do it for today's entry. It's pretty much exactly what the title says, just another Wednesday and let's hope that it remains that way. With my director out on vacation in Hawaii I have had several less meetings this week which is nice. Enjoying I'm not sure it while I can because next week is looking to be a busy one I think!
Until tomorrow, have a great day whether you are working or just doing your own thing. Either way, it's another day you are alive - don't waste it - there will come a time that you may be willing to do just about anything to have only one more to spend with those you love.
Photo: Could not find an interesting subject matter to snap a photo of for today. So here is what I thought was a cool close up photo of frost on my car window. I think it's a cool shot, at the same time it does not represent the actual day very well due to the fact that it's so nice out.
