Zoey did not sleep very well yesterday at daycare and last night only slept a little bit on the way home. Usually she is out like a light once we get her strapped into her car seat and snuggled up with blankets and her pacifier. She did fall asleep just not for as long as we would have liked her to have because of the lack of sleep all day long.
We stopped and picked up some chicken and sides and then came home. She ate a decent amount of chicken as well as a little bit of a biscuit then wanted her bottle which she only drank a few ounces out of if that. She crawled around a bit, still fussing and not totally happy with anything we would give her to play with or if we played with her.
Within another half hour she was already rubbing her eyes which is the universal sign that she is tired and is only going to get 10x fussier if we don't get her into bed. So even though it felt like we barely saw her we went ahead and laid her down for the night.
This morning she did not wake up until nearly 10:00!!!! This was after putting her to bed around 8:30 or 9:00 last night. I don't know if her teeth are bothering her again or if she is going through some sort of growth spurt. I did not think she would have any desire to sleep so long even after not sleeping much all day. Once up, she had some breakfast and putted around on the floor and with toys for a little while then started getting mega fussy once again. There is no way that she is tired again we said to each other.
Cicely continued to play with Zoey and try to entertain her the best that she could, Zoey was still getting pissed off, screaming and fussy. Nothing would make her happy at all so she must be tired. Cicely went into Zoey's room and they both laid down for a little bit and eventually fell asleep together in the chair.
I guess she was tired after all, although I don't know how long the nap is going to last or if she will wake up just as pissed off? She will if it's her teeth bothering her almost for sure. I cant wait until she gets all of those little buggers in, they seem to be a tough one to get through. Of course for very obvious reasons I realize.
Nephew Is The Big Two One
Today my nephew turns twenty one years old! Happy Birthday buddy! I hope you have an amazing birthday and you have had 20 amazing birthdays before this one. You have a lot more in front of you so do yourself a me a favor and don't waste the time in-between each of them. It goes by so fast and the next thing you know you will be all grown up and wondering where all of the time went so fast.
I am happy with everything I did, I would of course do a few things differently given the opportunity to do so, but overall I am happy with how things have turned out in my life and I think you are on a great path to do the same. Listen to what your mind is telling you, its the one thing that knows you better than anyone although we all tend to listen to it the least and instead focus on what we think others want to see us become - don't make that mistake!
Enough with the lecturing though, I just hope that you have an awesome birthday and are responsible with your new found freedom to go out and be considered more of an adult than you were in years past. It's strange how we do that in life, as though you were not ready for a beer yesterday at this exact moment, yet today you are more than ready for one.
Rules as well as those things we don't fully understand work in strange ways and were put into place for strange reasons at times. Do your best to be your best and I think you will do just fine. Should you ever stumble, know that Cicely and I are always here for you as well, day or night!
