Monday is here and is starting off with a real bang as to be expected I suppose based on the events of the weekend. Not that there were anything crazy that went on, more of the fact that I already had an early appointment to have my blood drawn for testing of a few things before my doctor follow up visit just around the corner.
Then we have Oggy and his newly developed lump on his belly. Yesterday morning it was much smaller than it is right now and that worries us big time of course. We called his vet and they have a spot open at 9:30am which is awesome. The only bad part is that my appointment is at 9:00. So we will be rushing like crazy to try to not only make it to them both but to make it to them both on time.
More on all of this later if things go as planned and I have the time to do so. Otherwise tomorrow will have to be the day to fill in the gaps as it's just after 8:00 and I need to get going!
Veterinarian Update
So we are on our way home from the veterinarian appointment and based on their diagnosis after doing a physical exam on Oggy is that more than likely he hit his side on something blunt. Almost as though he jumped off the couch and landed on something.
The odd thing is that he does not ever do this and we have never seen him jump down and not avoid landing on something on the floor. I did hear him yelp once last week when we were playing piggy toy fetch, thinking he hit the footstool in the bedroom possibly but did not think much else of it.
Anyway, we left the office with a clean bill of health and told to keep an eye on it making sure it does not increase in size or start to become more painful. At the moment unless it's really messed with he does not even seem bothered by it.
We have some anti inflammatory meds to give him for a few days, twice a day and they happen to be the exact same pills as we had after his dental work so we know they don't bother his stomach.
All Set
So we managed to get to all of our appointments on time, early actually! I was at my lab appointment almost 15 minutes early and they were nice enough to get me in. This meant we had plenty of time to get to Oggy's appointment and we did. In fact we were there almost one half hour early and once again they got us in almost immediately.
The other thing I should mention is that it seems the stars were aligned and looking out for us today. After leaving the house we did not hit a single red light all the way down the main road getting to the highway. This may not seem like a big deal but it is and we appreciate it very much! Thank you universe for the positive start to the day so we could get our fuzzy kid to the doctor.
Photo: Calm warm weather with nice blue skies today. While we are enjoying it, it's not good news for the mountains off in the distance.
