If I was out on the open sea, or relaxing in a big park with my kite I might welcome your arrival. But I am not and all that is happening is you are annoying me and I cant wait until you go away once again! Blow in your storm or turn your tides, but make it fast because I want to say bye-bye!
Hospital
So I am updating my entry quickly because we received a call from the baby doctor this morning and she wanted us to the hospital ASAP. Cicely has preeclampsia so they are worried about her and baby. They have some meds to bring her heart rate down as well as have done some additional blood work.
Based on what the doctor says we will most likely have baby today or tomorrow depending on how they do it. Vaginally or a c-section.
As I write this entry he blood pressure is much better and she is resting in the hospital bed watching the newborn channel on TV while we listen to the monitor and babies heart. It's crazy how fast it is. Sounds like a horse race with the clipitty clapatty rhythm.
More news most likely tomorrow. I don't want to be updating a blog while everything is going on ha ha. I want to support my beautiful wife and experience the entire experience of the arrival of our beautiful bouncing baby girl!
Back, Neck, Shoulders
So between Cicely and I we have back, neck and shoulder pain that will not go away no matter how much we rest, take a couple Advil (for me) or Tylenol for her (because of baby). I am actually not as worried about me, I am use to it and know that it will go away in a few days as it usually does when I managed to do some stupid move or lift wrong and wham! back is out of whack for days.
For her she has not been able to sleep very well if at all and it has been giving her a headache as well. I worry because if she was to go into labor and have to deal with that pain as well as the pain in her neck and shoulders it may make it really hard to focus, push and not feel like complete shxt.
Today she is in so much pain once again that she is going to have to stay home from work once again and get some rest and hope that it starts to subside on its own. I did finally talk her into calling the doctor and asking them if there is anything that they can give her that will be safe for both her and baby but as I write this she has not heard back from the office yet.
My fingers are crossed for luck that they will call back in a decent amount of time and be able to offer some help. Something more than suggesting to take a warm bath or let the hot water from the shower run on your neck and back. I have the pain as well, but I would take it from her if I could. She is going through enough lately and right now and does not deserve to feel like this.
Angry Kart
So the other day I downloaded this new-to-me game that I came across called Angry Birds Go!. It's actually a pretty decent game but feels like a total ripoff of Mario Kart to be perfectly honest. Because the characters are familiar and the racing is challenging but not out of reach difficult it's a basic time passer and fun.
I don't know how long it will hold my interest because of the simple fact that I am a Mario Kart fan, but I will give it a go and would recommend trying it if you have the itch that needs to be scratched with a racing game of this genre.
Other Than That
I think that will be about it for today. A decent entry but not the massive wall of text like I managed to build yesterday. It happens and I am not ashamed of it by any means! I get on a roll rambling about something and the next thing you know it's one long as post or conversation.
It's off to work for me now and getting ready for a busy week. This is the week that baby is most likely going to be here if she is on schedule or early for that matter. Sunday March 16, 2014 is her new official due date we received so we will see how close she gets to it.
I have school the last part of the week, Thursday and Friday to be exact. I have worried since day one that baby will decide to show up while I am at school and not only will I be out nearly $400 for the class but I will have to get to Cicely as fast as I can from there so I can get her to the hospital. More on that later I am sure. Based on what the doctors have said, most first time moms go into labor in the middle of the night for some reason. That would be much more manageable, but it's not up to me now is it! I just have to roll with the punches and take it as it comes.
If you are working today and it's your Monday as well then try to have a great day! Thankfully there is only one Monday a week right! Make the best out of if and do something new to make it worth getting out of bed! Otherwise what was the point? Until tomorrow - see ya'!
Photo: Really cool Romanesque Cauliflower that they have at the store. Cicely and I both think that it is just the coolest looking stuff because of the awesome fractals within. Holy crap Mother Nature, you have some mad skills and I'm loving it big time!
