Hospital Day 6

Yes the title of this post is accurate. It is day 6 since being admitted and we are still at the hospital. We came in last Monday thinking we were going to be checked for high blood pressure due to the pregnancy and potentially have the baby then possibly be there one extra day because of it. We never thought we would be there for this long.

Still In The Woods

As of last night and this morning we are not out of the woods yet. Cicely has to have an electrocardiogram to verify some things with her heart etc. to see if that is what's causing the blood pressure spike.

Honestly, including myself, everyone seems to be pretty baffled over this whole ordeal. Cicely is generally extremely healthy and does not have any health problems whatsoever. She does not take any medications or anything. Her blood work is always excellent as-is her heart rate and related.

I had really hoped that we would be coming home today but it's not looking like it as it sits right now. I am so bummed to say that because I know she wants to get out of there as well. I selfishly want my girls home and all to myself.

My Rough Night

So to add insult to injury and because we did not have enough on our minds as it was. Around 3:00 AM I woke up with a gnarly headache and cold sweats. This was not good, I knew what was coming next. Generally a long night of sweating, puking, crapping and everything in between until it finally breaks. Not something I wanted to do at the hospital.

Thankfully Cicely was up breast-feeding baby Zoey so I was able to tell her what was going on and let her know I was going to head home for a couple hours and get through this and not to worry I would keep her up today via text messages. The last thing I want is for her to worry about something else, especially me at a time when she needs to get better.

Once home the trend continued as it usually does when it's running it's course. Everything from puking, dry leaves, bathroom breaks and cold sweats. The infamous low temperatures and my body shaking. I was luckily able to lay down in bed in a comfortable spot and fall asleep for a good three or four hours once I was done with the initial problems.

As usual my awesome fuzzy kid Oggy was right there by my side making sure that everything was okay. Goddamn he is such a good boy words cannot explain. If you have never had a boo-dog or an awesome dog of any type then you are really missing out on a big part of your life experience. When I say if you had a "awesome dog" that is actually a pretty general statement. I believe wholeheartedly that every dog is an awesome dog you just have good or bad owners.

Come-on Cizzle I cannot wait for you to get better. Not only do I want you both home but I can't wait to introduce Oggy to his little sister. At the same time I know that you are missing Oggy a lot as well say something. Don't worry he is doing great and is such an independent boy.

Shower And Shave

Alright with that I think I'm going to close this post for today. I want to get my butt moving and get back over to the hospital to see how my girls are doing. I know right now my dad and step-mom Cindy are over there visiting so she at least have some company.

I will try to update this post later if we have information back on the electrocardiogram. If for some reason I just don't feel like it or don't have time I will try to add something tomorrow.

My fingers, toes and legs are all crossed for luck that my baby girls get to come home today. I kinda don't see it happening though. I only want to hope for the best and not think about anything negative. Worst-case maybe they will send her home and we will have to fill a prescription for blood pressure medicine for a little while. That would be okay as well, the last thing we want is for her to get home and then have to be readmitted and start this all over. No thanks!

Photo: The little rosebud that we put on Zoey's forehead for her one day old photo shoot. I cannot get over how beautiful she is. Now I better understand why people say their kiddos change their lives for the better. Love you Zoey, Love you Cizzle!
