Unhappy Kiddo
For some reason kiddo is not very happy yesterday or today off and on more than usual. Normally she is really quiet and happy but the past 2 days she has been really emotional and crying pretty hard and we cant exactly track down what is wrong so we can fix it and make her feel better.
Usually it's pretty easy with babies - they are either hungry, want to be soothed with a pacifier or rocking, singing, humming and related or they need a diaper change. She does get pretty upset lately when she has to poo because she has been a little constipated. The pediatrician told us that the weird poos are normal because its her body going through various things to better get prepared for the upcoming stages of different foods and so on.
Plus we were worried because she was straining so hard, crying, clinching and so on we figured something was wrong or we were doing something wrong. I guess because babies don't understand how to use their stomach muscles, butt muscles and so on they tend to poo and push with their entire bodies - hence the crying, turning red, clinching fists and everything else that does not seem like a normal poo session. For them it is though, well until they get down the basics and get better at it.
Bad Breakfast
So today we decided that because it was my last day off work on an official workday that we would get something bad for breakfast. This translated into us trying the new Taco Bell breakfast menu released just days or weeks ago.
Between Cicely and I we tried the breakfast bacon and egg taco, the waffle bacon and egg taco and the hash-brown as well as the coffee. The meal was pretty good, not great, but "fast food good" and satisfied us. I am not a huge fan of waffles in the first place so I was not a huge fan of the waffle taco, although good it was just not my thing.
The breakfast taco that had the bacon and egg wrapped in a tortilla was good and what I would probably get again in the future if we went back. The coffee was good but a little on the weak side, I would have preferred it to be a little stronger. It's possible that they simply added too much creamer to it - I think Cicely asked for 2 creamer but that could translate into more than we are use to or maybe they added more, dunno.
So now in an hour or so I need to get my butt out to the garage and hop on the treadmill to burn off some of the empty calories that I just added to my body. Then a little strength training to try and burn off some of the fat that is in the meal and get it out of my system. It's crazy how having a meal that is not a "good choice" can have such a mental affect on you. I should know better than to throw caution to the wind and try something like I did but you only live once so trying some things within reason should not be considered a bad thing, well most things considered anyhow.
Enough
I think that will do it for today. I want to get some things done now that my sore shoulder blades and neck are feeling a little better. They were super stiff almost the entire week because I spent almost 2 full days with only a little bit of a break in-between, working on getting photos set-up and arranged in the digital album in iPhoto and mirroring it as best that I can in my online SmugMug album. It is really a pain in the ass and should not be so difficult. Especially the tagging and labeling of photos. Only a few things get uploaded with the photo's so you have to add the titles again.
Sounds easy but gets to be a really tedious process and a bit of a pain when you have hundreds of photos uploaded. Plus unless you take the time to verify they are titled the exact same as iPhoto you will have some differences (I don't bother I just try to get them as close as I can).
One other thing that I wish you could do is some sort of a compare between the two libraries. Reason being if I upload a bunch of photos there is no guarantee that they are all being done. Meaning if I have already organized them in iPhoto I cannot "easily" find only those and add them to the online albums. I need to manually know where they are and which ones - yea it sucks.
Ahh 1st world problems I know, I know. I will just keep on keeping on and see what happens to come out in the future to make tasks like this easier and more efficient. Right now it seems that everyone has just a slight variant to how they do it so not everything matches as I would expect it to and hope that it would. There needs to be more standards with this kinda of stuff - but I digress.
Photo: Cool, but necessary sign in the bathroom at a local restaurant. Although I am not a fan of all of the "keep calm and..." crap, this was well done.
