We Are Home!

Well I am happy to report that we are no longer at the hospital. Mama, baby, grandma and Zoey are all home. Oggy was so happy to see us walk in the door last night and we were very happy to finally see him. After 7 days spent at the hospital we were all 110% ready to be at home.

Lounging

Because we have been gone for so long and have not had much time to ourselves we decided today was a perfect day for lounging around the house. The weather was pretty crappy outside and baby was fairly tired as was mama. Because of this we took this opportunity to get some things unpacked and get ready for the week ahead.

For me this meant unpacking things, opening up new packages that had showed up in the mail while we were gone as well as breaking down boxes and that sort of thing. We even received a couple more items from extended family that they had bought us from our baby registry. We were so excited to get more items that we needed it was just really cool. A great way to end a very difficult week.

Food

I talked to my mother-in-law Kay today and she is going to be making us a bunch of food for the week. I will have more information on what exactly the food was tomorrow after either she or someone else brings it by the house. She had mentioned that she's going to make everything from enchiladas to tri-tip. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

She also mentioned that Cicely's sisters are most likely going to make us some desserts as well. I know that both Miranda and Danika are really skilled at that sort of thing so if they do decide to take the time to make some desserts I can't wait to see what we get.

I know most people would say hey it's what family does and the family would also say hey it's what family does. While we totally agree with this we also understand that everyone has very busy lives of their own. We are so grateful for everything everyone has done words can't even explain.

We all love everyone with all of our hearts and thank you for helping us welcome Zoey into the world in such an awesome way. She has an amazing family, extended family and friends. I can't wait until she can actually thank all of you on her own for everything everyone has done for her and us.

Spit Up

With that I think I'm going to call this post finished and spit up the foamy bits. I want to go enjoy my family for the night and maybe even watch a little TV.

My lower back is actually already a little sore from swaying Zoey around. But you know what, I still keep doing it because she likes it. I guess that's just something that comes natural when you become a parent and it comforts your kiddo.
