Another Week

So as everyone knows today is Friday and in a few hours we can check off another workweek and start getting into the excitement of free time over the weekend. The weather should holdup and give us the springlike sun and shine it has the past few days. I guarantee you that you will not hear me complaining about it that's for sure.

Racing

If I was still racing karts out at the club this year I would have our annual tuning race under my belt and would be anxiously prepping for the first points race this Sunday. Yep, it'd that time of year again and the season opener for many races and clubs. Everything from the desert racers to the motocross guys and gals the warm weather means its time to race!

Do I miss it? Hell yes I miss it, more than you could imagine to be honest. But after racing karts for 8+ years and everything from RC cars to jet-skis before that I need to give my body a break from those sports. The reason being is that once they become a series and competition vs. a hobby they get very expensive and competitive as do I. So injury goes hand in hand with racing for a championship.

I have 3 championships and I will be the first to tell you that it does hurt to be a champion and does cost a lot of money. Everything from broken ribs and sore body parts many years later to a box of receipts you don't ever dare add up.

In the end though there is a silver lining. That being that the trophies are always there to remind you of your blood, sweat, tears, dedication and success.

Some people ask if I had the chance to do it over again would I? Or would I save the money and do something less expensive in my spare time. My answer is always the same, I would do it all over again 10 times over. Yea, it really was that much fun and that big of a part of my life when I was racing.

Errands

Today we are venturing out with baby and grandma to run a few errands. First stop is Home Depot to get something that I can out Zoey's humidifier on. It has to be a hard surface that we don't care if it gets water or water spots on it.

At the same time you don't want to have the humidifier sitting on a towel or anything soft. Otherwise the fan will be unable to properly suck air up into the pump and them turn the water into a most to spray out the Elephants trunk - well in the case of our humidifier.

One thing we did was get a cold water humidifier rather than a warm water one. The reason being is that even though the warm air ones can be much more effective they are harder on your flooring and everything in between. They are producers if molds as well. But extremely good at putting moisture in the air. Ours will suit us perfectly for many years without the risk of molds and fun gas growth in the house.

Enough

That will be all for today my friends and family. I found time to write today's entry while on our way over to the places we needed to stop on our errand run. Time now to load kiddo into a shopping cart and get some shxt done before all of the 9 to 5'ers are off and stocking up for their Saturday and Sunday activities.
