No Baby Yet

Woke up a little later than usual today and was able to sleep through the entire night for a change. The sleeping through the night was a combination of a non-stop 11 hour day yesterday followed by a big Thai dinner when I finally got home (thanks Cicely what a nice way to end a busy day). Then just to be on the safe side of things I took a very small dose of the Zzz nighttime.

All said and done it seems that I found the perfect combo for a good nights sleep. Plus this morning Cicely made sure to keep an eye on Oggy so he would not be over pimp-pawing me to get up and feed him. He is my little fuzzy kid and I love him a ton but he can be one little shxt when he wants to be fed. But I guess we are all that way in some manner.

The Mundane Stuff

Once up and moving it was time to do some of the not-so-fun stuff that I have been putting off this week. From balancing the checkbook and savings accounts to verifying that our taxes were accepted and filed from last weekend. Then doing a few FSA document and receipt scans so I could get them submitted for approval and have the reimbursements back into my bank account by the end of this week barring no discrepancies.

FSA - F Is Not For Fun

The past couple of years the FSA process has been so easy. Not with the combination of our stupid presidents brilliant health care laws and health care struggles in general the process is a real headache and almost not worth my time or hassle for each submission.

Last month I had a simple $15 submission that kept getting rejected because they "assumed" it was a duplicate. Rather than looking at the names of the files, the reason for submitting and so on they simply rejected them. In reality all that was being submitted was the second part of a copay for the same visit.

For example; I went to the doctor and paid a $15 copay as my insurance card states. Come to find out my doctor is in fact in network but her tax ID is not. This means that I pay $30 copay. No big deal right? So a few days later I was billed for the additional $15 and paid it but when I submitted it to FSA as a "part 2" of the original copay they simply assumed I was trying to get reimbursed twice and then proceeded to deny the claim.

In the end and after several submissions and phone conversations I finally found a person that understood what was going on, but only after another 25 minute conversation with her. She then did some sort of "voodoo" on her end and whatta you know, it worked. So why could one of the other associates have done this? If you ask me, people are just lazy and collecting a paycheck.

Plane Down In The Sea

Just real quick because the information for about this is all over the news. But last night an airplane disappeared off of the radar while flying over the China Sea, en-route to Beijing. There were 239 passengers aboard and the last that I read they found a long oil slick in the ocean which means the plane probably went down in the sea. Such a sad thing to happen no matter if it happens here in the USA or somewhere else in the world.

My hope would be that they would find out that the plane landed somewhere else and all of the passengers are OK, but I fear that will not be the case. One strange thing is that 2 passengers never made it on the plane because their passports were stolen. Makes you wonder if there was some foul play involved or anything.

I don't like to speculate on that sort of thing so that is all that I will say. I just hope everyone supports each other during this difficult time and all of the little internet assholes talking shxt about it, joking around and everything in between grow up a little and have some respect for those that lost a loved one potentially.

My thoughts and heart goes out to everyone that was on board the plane as well as those that are sitting idle, waiting for some news for closure or clarification on the accident. I probably will not continue to update my entry with the news updates, maybe tomorrow I will hit on the updates real fast. There is more than enough accurate and actual news out there to look into.

No Baby

So today was the original due-date for baby to be born. I guess baby has other plans and wants to wait a little longer. That is okay with us if she needs a little more time to bake in mamas oven. We are anxious for her to be here so we can see what she's going to look like and give her kisses and love.

My only fear if she does not come this weekend is that it will be one day during the workweek or possibly during work, not something Cicely wants to happen while at the studio. It has honestly been her only fear since the beginning of the pregnancy.

Originally when they told us the due date was today, March 8th, I had a pretty good idea that it was not accurate. We always thought it would be the 16th or so before baby would be here. Now I fear that baby will come this Thursday or Friday while I am up at UNR for my extended studies class.

I sure hope not because not only will I be out that money which is the smaller of the problem, but it will be much harder to get to Cicely picked up and over to the hospital. Oh well it's all out of our hands now and all we can do is wait.

At least we know it should be any time now and we can go from there. It does not feel as real as I thought it would feel, now being this close to the due date. But that is probably only our minds settling in to things that are about to change 100% for the both of us and the fuzzy kid.

Speaking of the fuzzy kid, we actually worry about him a bit as well. He has always been our only "child" and has gotten 100% of our attention, or at least from one of us if the other is busy.

That will change slightly once baby is here. But we are planning and reminding ourselves and each other to be sure to give him as much attention as he needs and deserves. He will always be our first boy and we love him very much and that will never change.

Once baby is here he will have one more addition to the family that will love him just as much as we do. I think he will love baby a lot too because she will be dropping food all of the time that he can grab if he is quick enough and have some bonus treats, lol.

Have a great Saturday whatever it is you're doing. We are not doing a whole lot of anything except resting up before babies big arrival. With that I think that will do it for today.

Well at Cicely's doctor appointment the first part of the week she suggested that I take a photo of it "quickly" before the nurse knocked on the door and came in, lol. This was partially due to the fact that it was the day she was supposed to take a random photo for me for my post - this was result #2 so I went with it.
