School Day

Wow it's already Thursday of the final week that I am off from work to spend time with the family. It has went by much faster than I thought it would but thankfully I can smile knowing that there are still 3 days left after today. It has been such a great experience so far and I can fully understand why parents either have a difficult time going back to the office or are ready to get back to their normal day-to-day duties.

We have only been part of the parent club for an extremely short time now, going on just 3 weeks, but can fully appreciate the rewards from it as well as the difficulties throughout. Trust me when I say that we do also recognize that we don't fully know what we are in for ha ha.

School

So today I have to be away from the family for the entire day so that I can attend another class up at UNR towards the management program as well as the HR program. Because of the fact that I am doing the dual degrees I have a bit more work cut out for me but I can handle it no problem.

The crazy part is that after all if the layoffs at work yesterday the class I am taking today fits right into that in an odd sort of way. It's about hiring key people that will remain with the company as well as how to address problems when people are not as they sold themselves to be during the interviewing process. It should also hit upon vetted that stuff out ahead of time so you don't hire the wrong candidates for the job at hand.

Should be another good class and I am looking forward to having another under my belt at the end of the day today. I have a new instructor this class which will be nice as well. It's always cool to meet new instructors as well as those in the classes. One step closer to completing everything I am working toward. 4 classes down, 11 more to go - yikes!
