Warm Weather Tease

Wow, woke up this morning to the news, road report and weather only to hear that we are supposed to be getting into the high 60's today and near 70's tomorrow. Even though it has not been much of a winter I am already prepared 100% for spring and summer to be here.

Bring back the days of wearing shorts and a T-shirt every day and I am one happy camper. There is something about needing to bundle up and wear jeans and tons of layers that I just don't like and never have. If I am going snowboarding or snowmobiling or something like that that's one thing, but when you have to wear all that crap just to stay warm on the way to the office it sucks.

Unfortunately the warm weather is only supposed to last couple days and then we will be getting more rain storms towards the weekend. No big deal though I will take the rainstorms and mild weather over the snow. Heck, I used to love the snow, everything from the challenges of driving in it to going up to the mountains to play in it. Crap, is that a tell tale sign that I'm getting old?

In reality I still like the snow I guess and I am probably being too harsh saying that I hate it. I think right now I'm at a point in my life where it's more of the fact of driving to work in it as well as having to shovel the driveway and that sort of thing. Once baby is here it will be a blast to play in the snow with her. So by then that might change my outlook on the frozen white stuff.

Cizzle

Well for the first night in a couple weeks Cicely was able to get a fairly solid nights sleep and only woke up one time and that was to use the bathroom. Pretty normal stuff, pregnant women pee A LOT let me tell you, ha ha!

Anyway, I just wanted to mention how happy I was that she finally was able to get a good nights sleep and hopefully she will feel much better today and have more energy. Hang in there Cizzle, on 13 days or less to go and then the real challenges will begin - but now for us both instead of mostly you.

Doctor Appointment

Well as mentioned in yesterday's entry it was my doctor visit day. I am happy to report that everything checked out great from my blood work I had done last week and everything else is looking good as well. That is always good news to hear on a Monday, hell anyway for that matter!

Plus now with baby on the way I want to be sure I am lean and mean for as long as possible so I can watch her sprout into all of the greatness she will become. No pressure though little one, we will love you no matter.

Anyway I do have to go back for another follow-up appointment in 30 days but that is pretty common when you start to see a new doctor. Generally the first year is a pain because you have to go so many times. It's for the best though because it sets up a solid baseline for them to accurately access.

Vitamin D

OK it's time for me to get off this thing and get out of here. I need to enjoy a few moments of the day and soak in some of the suns vitamin D while the getting is good. Spring and summer should be right around the corner and I really could use a little color on my skin, I look more like a programmer that lives in a dungeon by the time March rolls around!

Enjoy the day where ever you are! If you are unfortunate enough to be in the areas of the US that's getting pounded by snow and ice storms my thoughts go out to you. It looks miserable and even a bit scary. Hang in there and become one with your neighbors and community. Use the time to build positive bonds and relationships and let's avoid going nuts, looting and so on.

Photo: A big canister or Tootsie Roll temptation over on Cicely's side of the studio. I am happy to report that I was able to walk right past it and only take a quick photo, not a quick handful. I wont lie to you though, I was tempted for sure!
