I'm Sleepy....

It's only the second day into the year and both Cicely and I are exhausted for some reason, me especially and I have no excuse - she is the pregnant one! I was up fairly early and watching a few video's on YouTube about welding techniques of all things. I have always enjoyed welding since doing it back in high school but have never laid down the cash to get myself a welder of my own.

I would still like to have one some day. Probably just a smaller 120 volt MIG welder vs. getting one that has more power and a longer duty cycle so it can handle working with no breaks in between welds when working on larger projects. I don't think I would require something that powerful anyhow since most of my welding would be small home projects or messing around making pieces of art or things of that type.

Anyway, back to being sleepy - yea very sleepy indeed. Cicely got up and moving a little late today. She was up at nearly noon I think where I was up at 8:30 to feed Oggy and have some coffee before jumping on the laptop to waste time - boo! We were hungry so Cicely was craving pizza and ran down to Pizza Hut and picked up a stuffed crust pizza for her and some boneless wings for me. I am always searching for a decent boneless wing - they are hard to find!

Once done eating I was getting heavy-eyed (kinda like I am now). So I laid down on the couch and took a nap for just under an hour. I feel like I have totally wasted the day because of it and plan to not let it get away from me now. I have so many projects that I want to get done and I am not doing very good at making progress. Today I wanted to at least paint the letters for babies room that spell out her name and then get started on the building of the 3D printer that has been sitting in the box for almost 2 weeks now. Whats more is that I have my new Go Pro that I want to setup and learn about so I can use it for anything and everything and the list goes on and on. I am just low on motivation for some reason and it is really pissing me off.

Lazy Chair

Speaking of being lazy. Yesterday our delivery showed up from for furniture store with our new electronic reclining chair for the baby room. I was worried that it was going to be way to big for the room and a pain in the ass to get in and eventually out of the room. Nope, it's one of the models that comes in 2 pieces so it's really easy to move around if and when necessary.

The chair feels a little stiffer than it did in the showroom but I think the material just needs to be sat in more and loosened up. I don't see that as being a problem once baby is here. I have a feeling that Cicely and I are going to be spending more than our share of time in there rocking baby back to sleep or baby and one of us and possibly Oggy as well laying in there sleeping a lot of the time. I guess we will see how it goes - either way I think it was a great choice and will get a lot of use. Plus it will be a great chair for baby to have if she wants a place to sit and read or whatever as she gets older.

Flight Simulator

So I may have mentioned it the other day I cant remember. But I ordered myself another flight simulator earlier in the week, may have been last Sunday actually I don't remember - the days are starting to meld together now. Anyway I already have the Phoenix simulator and decided to lay down the cash and get the Real Flight 7 one as well. Why in the hell would anyone need 2 of them you ask? Well really you don't but I wanted to get this one because it has several other models that my Phoenix does not have and it also has a model and setup for the Stingray that I just recently bought. To be able to fly that model before I have it setup and ready to go is a huge bonus. I have heard it is pretty easy to fly but most that have tried it are fairly experienced pilots so in my book that does not count.

The other reason I went with trying out Real Flight is because it comes with a transmitter. I really like using my own transmitter when practicing with Phoenix but it adds wear and tear on it when practicing flight. Not that much at all in reality, but more importantly I have to always be sure that my transmitter is charged up and ready to go. I cant even begin to tell you how many times I have come home from work etc., and wanted to fly only to get everything setup, sit down and beep, beep, beep the transmitter is in need of a charge - well fuck, there goes any chance of flying that night.

With Real Flight I don't have to worry about any of that because the transmitter gets it's power through the USB and the transmitter it comes with does not need charging. When I am ready to fly, it is ready to be flown, period.

I probably would have flown it already but the shipment was delayed for some reason or another. I had actually paid for it to be shipped with 1 day service through prime for the additional $3.99. This would mean that it would be here on the 31st of December. Nope, it never showed up that day and I still don't know why. I contacted Amazon and they did issue me a refund for the additional shipping but even they were not entirely sure why it was delayed and asked that I give it until the 3rd which is Friday. As luck would have it, the simulator showed up in the mail today so maybe I will be able to find some time to try it out before going back to work next week. That would be sweet!

Dinner

Both Cicely and I have been craving a big turkey dinner again ever since thanksgiving. So last week she went to the store to get some things for when her mom visited and picked up a nice size turkey breast. Tonight it's whT is on the menu for dinner - Woot!

Nothing like a nice big turkey dinner, freshly cut, boiled and smashed mashed potatoes, veggies and gravy. I know that I for one am looking forward to it big time. After my hour of cardio, walking back into a house filled with thanksgiving-like aromas made my mouth water and my stomach growl!

Once dinner is over my only fear is whether or not it will put me back into a sleepy lazy mode like turkey usually does. I hope not, I will have to fight it becUse if nothing else I want to get the letters and the coat/hat rack flowers painted for babies room tonight. In the meantime I am going to enjoy the awesome smells of what's to come at dinner time, YUM!

Wake Up Man!

OK, I think that is about enough for today seeing how there is really not "that" much going on to rabble about I just wanted to be sure to get my post in for the day and try to use it as a form of motivation to get my ass up and moving. So far the pitter patter of the typing has done nothing but make me feel a little bit sleepy again - noooo!

It's OK, I will wrap this paragraph up and get my ass in the other room to start painting the wooden letters for babies room and then grab the box and start messing with the 3D printer build. I am glad that I bought the kit, but I keep telling myself that it was a mistake as well because I would have been printing stuff by now had I purchased the pre-built version of the printer. Oh well, all things will be done eventually right? I hope so!

Cicely is supposed to go back to work tomorrow so we will see if she does or not. I am actually hoping that she will say fuck it and stay home one last day. No one will be the wiser and she will enjoy the extra day off I know it. On the other hand, when she is not here I somehow manage to get a lot done because I keep myself occupied until she gets off from work.

Ahh, no matter what side of the coin the flip lands on there seems to always be positive and negative to it all ya' know? I suppose as I am always saying, that is what keeps it interesting!

Photo: The box of my Real Flight 7 that came in the mail today vie FedEx. I am happy that it's finally here in my hot hands but now that it's the end of the vacation I have to find time to try it out in between all of my other crap, lol - life is awesome!
