First Things First
Once up and moving Cicely made us a sweet full-on complete Sunday breakfast to get us going on the right foot. We had everything from eggs and bacon to toast with butter and fresh cut strawberries on the side. It was awesome, but now I need to try and not get lazy from being full, lay on the couch to watch supercross racing and fa fast asleep. That would not be good I the least so I plan to remain in motion as much as possible.
Cubed
As mentioned, the crappiest part about us being lazy yesterday is that Cicely did not make it into work as she had planned to. Because of that she now has decided to go in and get some things done today so she is not so far behind this week.
It really sucks because usually we are able to get everything done during the week by simply putting in a little extra time after hours to avoid weekend time at the office. Because of all the extra time we took over the Christmas and new year holiday it put her a few days behind schedule. Really sucks and I wish I could help out somehow but this time I can't. Mostly because it is on the new platform and I have done zero development on it to date. She would end up wasting more time getting me up to speed.
Baby Girl
So a friend of mine that I use to race with, well she raced in a totally different class than I did but at the same events "mostly". She actually did more of the regional and national events and is and was a really good driver. It's always cool, well unless it's me - ha!, to see a girl go out and kick all the boys asses on the track after a lot of bench racing smack talk.
Anyway, yesterday evening at 6:35 Chelsi gave birth to a baby girl. It was no easy task buy she stuck with it (yea I know, "duh" what choice did she have?) and kept her eye on the prize. After 14 hours of labor and just under 1 hour, 50 minutes to be exact, of pushing she was rewarded at the finish line with a bouncy baby girl coming into the world at 6lbs 13oz and 20in long.
There were photos posted on Facebook almost immediately and man is her little girl a cutie. I think baby will be in great company with the family - who I know very well also, and are an amazing group of moms, dads, grandparents and everything in between.
Congratulations again to you Chelsi and to your baby girl, Temprynce Veronica Martin coming safely and healthy into the world. She has no idea the awesomeness she is in for, but she will learn to love and appreciate every second of it I just know it! Now get some rest, you deserve it!
Focus
Alright now it's time for me to focus on the day and get off of the MacBook Pro. I could easily sit here and waste the day away watching YouTube videos, researching 3D printers or a long list of other things. I will do no such thing though, but rather publish this entry and get on with the day. Cicely is at work and we both have a long week ahead of us so what we can get accomplished today will do nothing less than make the rest of the week that much better.
Photo: Cool new lock that I bought for the gym locker. Normally I leave my stuff out in the gym with me, not sure why, I just always have. I am trying to change that routine now and because I am a tech nerd I could not simply get any old lock now could I?
