Early Start = More Weekend

Up and out of bed nice and early for a Saturday. Normally I would try to sleep-in a little bit longer and let my mind and body catch up after a long busy week. Not the case this weekend, well at least not today but possibly tomorrow, Sunday I will catch a few more Zzzz's.

Dotting Some I's

One thing we wanted to accomplish today is the bag for the hospital. We still have some things on the list that we actually did not think to get until it was brought up in our Wednesday night birthing class.

Thankfully the instructor went over it all as a courtesy to all of us newB moms and dads. Anyway the first stops today will be to accomplish more of that and potentially check it off of our list bringing us one step closer to being as prepared as we can be for the big day.

Fresh Air

Ahh nothing like fresh, clean air! Well in this case I am actually not referring to that kind of air but instead the Mac kind. No not the new and improved iPad Air but instead the MacBook Air. I have decided that I am going to finally pull the trigger on the 11" model today. It's a really small for factor for a laptop I know, but exactly what I want to have for school and any travel I may have to do.

My current MacBook Pro is awesome and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it other than being much heavier and larger overall. This new one is more of a want than a need and of course mostly a fun gadget that will come in handy often but probably won't be my 100% go to device for daily use.

Anyway we will see. The day is long and I have a lot ahead of me so there is the chance that I will change my mind. I am pretty sure I will go for it though. I have an offer from the finance company Apple uses so I can get my usual no interest for 1 year deal. These deals are awesome and pretty much seal the deal for me.

Clothes Shopping

I really don't care for shopping for clothes but today while we were out I went ahead and bit the bullet and did some needed shopping at men's Macy's. I have been wanting to get some polo type shirts as well as a couple new pairs of pants but keep putting it off. Not today I am happy to report - mostly because it's over and done.

On the bright side I was able to save over $150 because I found things that were on special. I also had a 15% off coupon from work that I used which helped a bunch. Now that it is out of the way I should not have to shop again for the rest of the year except to get some shorts if I need them.

Back Home

Once we were finished with all of our running around and shopping it was time to head home. Oggy was happy to see us as he always is and we were happy to see him too. We did not stop by the studio today to start setting up my new cube so I will take care of that on Monday hopefully.

Anyway, back home and hungry so Cicely decided to make one of our dinners from Blue Apron since we did not feel like going back out to get some Indian. We wanted to get it for lunch but did not feel like stinking like it for the remainder of the day. Instead we had 5 Guys burgers for lunch and it filled us up for our adventures today. So for dinner Cicely is making us some homemade calzone. Should be good I just hope it's not a ton of work - she wont let me help either.

So I will be sitting on the couch and doing some research on a few things while watching supercross on TV. They are racing in Anaheim for the second time this season and throwing it back to an old track that was run in the 1990's I think.

With that, time to watch the gates drop and enjoy the night until it's time for dinner. Then it will be time to chow down some of the amazing cooking Cicely put together and watch some TV. Tomorrow may be a busy day as well if we end up going to see mom and because Cicely has a meeting for a fashion show she will be part of about a month after baby is here.

Photo: The last few weeks of driving Cicely's Beetle before we get rid of it and get a new car. Prolly a 4-door next because of baby. Last bug too, she has had 3 in a row now. Yea and before you mention it, I know, I know - the rims are FILTHY! C'mon it's winter after-all!
