I am happy to say that the early appointment went without a hitch and I am in good health and dont need to go back for another 3 to 6 months as usual. Under most circumstances I would not have to go back even that soon, but with all the new insurance stuff going on they are making people do so.
Weather
So the weather does not feel like the typical weather this time of the year. Probably because it's not typical. The guy on the alarm radio news this morning said it will be in the mid to high 50's and stay that way through the week and into the weekend. Great news for those traveling over the holiday. Heck I even had my AC on in the car a little today. Sure I could have just rolled the windows down, but it was so nice to use the AC just one more time - I love my AC and cooling seats in my car!
Bad news comes when he mentioned that the weather will be changing for the worst the first part of next week. Yep, just in time to go back to work! I don't mind the weather being crappy I mostly hate that it extends our commute by anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour. Oh well I plan to enjoy the nice days while we have a few more. Then deal with the bad weather when it comes.
Some Peoples Kids
Stopped by Best Buy tonight to kill some time before going over to pick up a pizza Cicely ordered for us and there were already peeps camping out to get in on Black Friday deals. I think they are pretty crazy to do so based on the small amount they will save in reality. The first couple in line tonight had a propane heater fired up for comfort. They are lucky it's so warm this year.
Little do they know, that propane tank with the heater cranked up like they had it is not going to last them through the night. I used those heater / tank combos through all my years of racing. They may get a solid 6 to 9 hours, but that will be it.
Anyway, I simply don't see all of that tassel and lack of comfort being worth saving a few bucks or a few hundred bucks on "something" electronic that will be outdated in a few months. Now maybe if they were getting a new console months early and cheap or something like a 4k TV for hundreds of dollars vs. thousands it may be worth it, "maybe". Even then I doubt I would do it.
Best of luck to them though and I hope they get what they waited for and made it through the night without a hitch!
Wrap
Otherwise it was a pretty quiet day. Really nice having the windows open and a breeze blowing in when it's nearly December. I feel bad for the ski resorts though. They will be down another month before the season picks up and that has gotta hurt the checkbook. Hopefully they will get some of the white stuff soon, but keep it up there. I don't feel like driving in it.
Photo: Cool Belkin switch I got us. This will replace our current switch that turns on stuff for the fuzzy kid automatically. Plus it will allow us to do so remotely from our phones as well.
