Hello Monday

Ok so I am stoked at the progress that we made this weekend. I managed to get the new cabinet not only built but mounted, leveled and secured to the wall in the garage. Does not sound like much I know, but it takes a solid 3 to 5 hours plus the time that it takes to breakdown all of the packing materials that the parts come wrapped in. Lemme tell you, it is no small amount either, massive hunks of foam, particle board and thin bubble wrap type material only without bubbles.

Once done I also was able to change out the furnace filter, put in the new bulbs in the kitchen - which as mentioned yesterday look awesome. They are so nice and bright and a great warm color. Compared to the others we had it's like we were living in the dark.

Cicely was able to make a run down to Goodwill and drop off a bunch of stuff we did not want to throw away and figured would be better if donated. Everything from housewares to my old tower PC was taken down along with a massive amount of other stuff. Hopefully it will all go to good use and help someone out that may be going through a rough patch in their day-to-day.

More Babies

So I found out this weekend that a coworker of mine that I worked extensively on my last project with is going to be a parent a couple months after we are. Her and her husband just announced they will be adding not one but two little ones to their lives. I am so happy for them. She is a really talented artist and a great person so I think she will make an awesome mom! Huge congratulations to you both Megan, I wish you and your hubby nothing but the best!

TV

So I keep hearing about this new show on FOX thanks titled Almost Human. I watched a couple previews for it as well as the season teaser and am thinking that it may be something Cicely and I would like.

So tonight I plan to buy the season premier on iTunes, since it is not available for free any longer, and see what we think. The second episode is tonight so that will work out great if we like it - seeing two in a row and being caught up. Sure I could just torrent it for free but why bother.

It's out there ready to grab directly on my Apple TV so I have no issues paying $1.99 for it. I wish television show producers would realize that and make shows more readily available.

No matter, we will see how it goes and decide if we are into it enough to watch it for the long run - I have a feeling we will.

Last nights episode of The Walking Dead was much different with a focus on The Governor for the entire episode. It looks to be more of the same for next week as well. Hopefully they are not running out of story and this is simply to introduce a new twist. It's almost like we are seeing a softer side of him. Kind of a creepy side as well the way he is latching on to the women and child he came upon. I think he is trying to create a new family. He even burned his old family photo - weird ass mofo!

Cubed

Otherwise I don't have much else to rabble about for a Monday. Should be another busy but productive week at work if everything goes as planned. I just need to keep my head down and roll with the punches should things change for the worst because of some unforeseen circumstances. Even if so, I am making games not saving lives or curing disease so we all have to remind ourselves of that each time we freak out.

At It

Alright jumping back into the deep end of this Monday. Hopefully you had a great weekend and Monday is not too rough on you or I. Until tomorrow - later skater!

Photo: Box of "not very healthy but fun and tasty" snacks for the week. Caught my eye at the store and could not resist because of the childhood lunchtime memories.
