Observation

It's the 3rd day that mom has been up at the hospital. They felt it was necessary for observation and testing to keep her safe. They are also using this time to try and speed up the process of getting her put somewhere that will be able to continue to keep her safe, fed and on a normal schedule.

Originally we were under the impression that she would be going home tomorrow, well not necessarily going home but going to her new home possibly. The problem is we know if she does go back to her condo she will most definitely leave again in the middle of the night, day, or who knows when. That only leaves the potential for her to get hurt or worse. That is something we definitely don't want to deal with or have happened to her. So right now the hospital is the best place.

Yesterday Kelly was able to talk to the social worker and having her call both the doctor and the attorney to start getting some fires lit under the ass of the doctor. I don't know why it is taking him so long to do the simplest tasks but it's a joke. Nonetheless Kelly got it going so hopefully that is one step closer.

**Update: Unfortunately it does not look like mom will be going home to her new home today. Kelly has been waiting for them to call her back and has yet to hear anything more as of 4:00 PM. At this time even if she did, she would not be able to get mom all the way to Carson City, checked into the retirement home and so on. Maybe tomorrow it will all work out. Today was not a very good day for mom anyhow. I guess she was pretty out of it today, much more than usual.

Makes me so sad for many reasons and even more-so that she will never truly get to meet my daughter, her grand-baby. I wish Zoey could know my mom, her grandma the way that I did and how I remember her. She would have such a great time with her I just know it! As of now it seems I am more focused on counting the days until we have her in hopes that mom will be around - I hope so with all my heart! Hang in there mom, we are trying to get you the help you need and deserve. Hopefully just a little longer ok. We love you!

Dinner

Last night Cicely made one of the Blue Apron meals that were delivered Saturday and it was friggin' awesome! This one was a Filipino flank steak & rice mixture with onions, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, pepper corns (whole pieces so you had to be careful not to chomp one or it had a pretty good kick), okra and all sorts of tasty seasonings and sauces. I can't remember the exact name of the meal but it was dam good. We are having the leftovers for lunch today and I can't wait! It's making me hungry just thinking about it.

Average Otherwise

Otherwise just an average day at work and things going as planned. I went ahead and took the day off this Friday to give myself a little extra time and burn some of my vacation days before I lose the time. Kinda sucks because I don't have any plans for the day so hopefully Cicely will be able to take time off too otherwise it will be a pretty dull day.
