Our Own Parking Spot

I don't know what it is about our local Renown hospital but it seems as though we have spent a lot of time there the past couple years. Between my dads motorcycle accident and him in the ICU for 36 days and now mom being in there because of her dementia issues I feel like we should get our own parking spot!

This is also the hospital that we are scheduled to have baby at as well so once again we will be there, although I would imagine only for several hours to an overnight stay when going in to have a little one.

Overall mom was doing much better once Cicely and I showed up. I guess she was pretty confused initially and though that everyone was out to get her. Totally understandable to be honest. Plus the fact she has not really been out of her house for nearly a year except to get the mail and go to the occasional doctor appointment.

On the plus side this should really help to get things moving forward so we can get her into a place that she will be safe and on a regular schedule. Heck she already made a friend yesterday at the hospital, had dinner with her and even some conversation which was nice to see. I think a home with more of the same and regular medications and food would be great for her. According to the doctors she is in top-notch health otherwise.

Kelly will be going down to the hospital today to find out if she can be discharged and what the next steps are. I hope the doctor she has been seeing gets off his ass and gets the paperwork going finally. He is a real asshole to be blunt and after seeing mom for so many years should have seen the signs or at least listened to us asking for him to dig deeper and verify with tests.

Nope he knew better than anyone so he thought and because of this mom did not get the help she needed and deserved - asshole! I am not one for pushing blame but this time I am. Honestly if there were any legal actions I just might take them. I don't want him doing this to any other families. Heck just seeing the terrible letter he wrote that we needed to get paperwork going for mom looked like something a middle school kid had written, probably worse. Incomplete sentences, misspellings and so on. All in a basic 6 to 10 line paragraph - moron!

Sore

So after all of the raking and yard work yesterday both Cicely and I are super sore. How sad is that, doing just four hours of manual labor and we look like we were beat up. Okay not quite, but we are pretty darn sore.

I will say, the yard looks really good though and it's a great feeling not having all of those leaves everywhere. We even managed to get way under the bushes and get leaves that have been under them for years. Still a lot to go if we wanted to but that was more than enough for one day. Probably enough for the season to be perfectly honest. I think it's the best we have done so far since we have lived here and planted everything LOL.

Cubed

Alright that will have to do it for today. It is of course Monday which means back to the "cubed life" and developing games. Hopefully it will be a productive week and not too much craziness will happen.

My hope is by the end of today or tomorrow we will have an update on mom and things will be looking good. If not worse case by the end of the week would be great. We really need to get her somewhere safe that is the most important thing right now.

Hopefully your Monday treats you well and the week is good. It is colder in this area so it's almost time to start wearing jeans again but I am still wearing shorts, LOL. Generally until the first snowfalls I will continue to wear them. Anyway have a great week if this is your Monday as well!
