Unfortunately Cicely is not a big fan of ham, pork chops and that sort of meat like I am so we don't have it very often.
Well I am happy to say that it all changed last night because our dinner, well one of our dinners, that was delivered by Blue Apron last week was pork chops WOOT! Yeah I guess I am pretty easily excited, but it's difficult to have them any other time because asking Cicely to make them for only me or me making them for just myself is not as enjoyable as eating dinner together.
So last night on the menu was Center cut pork chops with pan sauce and apple-Kohlrabi slaw. The Kohlrabi slaw was awesome. Kohlrabi is known as the "German turnip" I guess. I had never heard it before last night but am happy to say it is really good if you like stinky stuff like broccoli and coleslaw like I do. It's smell / taste is very similar to broccoli or cabbage or sit let of a combination taste of both. To top it off it had apples in it to give it a sweet crunchy taste, some lime to make it a little tangy and a creamy sesame tahini sauce.
Pair this salad with the center cut pork chops and I was in dinner heaven. Thankfully we have leftovers today for lunch so I will be in that heavenly place one more time LOL. Hey I need to enjoy it while I can, I don't see myself getting pork chops again for a few months.
Cubed
Well I think that will have to do it for today's entry. Once again not a lot to rabble about so I am trying to keep it short and sweet. Mostly to get my entry in for the day and talk about something slightly interesting for an event etc. that may have happened that day or the previous day.
For now it's time to jump back into the work day, cubed life that is, and continue developing games for another day.
Speaking of games; I am happy to report that my current game is coming along great and is actually something I am really proud of. It's not only a lot of fun but it looks pretty awesome too. I hope it does great when he gets out to the field, fingers crossed for luck!
