Mom seemed to finally forget about her awesome boo-dog Nemo as well, at least for the day. It sounds bad I know but it's actually a good thing because it's one less thing racing around in her mind. She only remembers her dog Dudley that we had back when we lived in Missouri. I was just a toddler then so I remember him but mostly from seeing myself in photos with him. Dudley was a yellow Labrador and from what I hear, a really good boy.
Anyway, I am not sure what the plan is for today with mom. I think Kelly said they will probably try to discharge her today but I just don't see how they safely can. If they simply discharge her to go home she will need somewhere to go that is safe and so she can't wander away and get hurt again or worse.
Really the place she is released to needs to be the retirement home. I just don't know how she will get there etc. It's all the way in Carson City so not real convenient for anyone.
If it were Friday I could help since I am off work but because I am off that day, there is not much I can do between now and then as far as missing work. If I have to and it helps Kelly and mom then I will of course. I know Kelly is probably missing more work than she can afford to.
Let's just hope something positive happens today and we can continue to move forward. This part of life really does suck when it goes this direction. Unfortunately no amount of planning could really help.
**Update: Mom was released from Renown today and Kelly had to take her to the care center in Carson City. We drove down there and met them just after she was done getting checked in. She was having lunch and not very happy when we arrived - I cant blame her. It would be a real shock for many reasons and she probably feels betrayed and/or abandoned by her kids.
It's not the case at all but instead us getting her the best help and care that we can. A facility that is running $7400/month is by no means us abandoning her, but I understand how she must feel when she gets moments of clarity. I have felt shxtty about it all afternoon - feel like such a bad son.

Bright Light
So this Friday or Saturday I should have a photo on here of my bad ass new flashlight (torch for those of you in certain countries). Yep I finally pulled the trigger and laid down $300 for a NiteCore TM26 3500 lumen flashlight.
This was by no means an impulse buy. I have been researching flashlights for quite awhile, almost a year come to think of it. For the most part it has been between the NiteCore TM26 and the Fenix TK75. Both are awesome for different reasons but in the end the NiteCore TM26 was the one for me.
The Fenix does have a longer throw but does not provide as good of an in-front of you light. More of a long solid beam. The NiteCore is no slacker in throw either but does create a nice area in front of you as well, something I wanted because bright and close up will be necessary more often than long distances.
The color of the Fenix LED is a little better, a little warmer light so bushes, trees or whatever look more sunlit. The NiteCore has a bit of a blue hue to the light which is very pleasant but colors do appear a tad washed out because of it. Not a big deal to me obviously but just some of the pros and cons.
They both use high power batteries, 4 or 8 depending on the cell type you choose to run. Both lights are rechargeable as well which was crucial in my decision. Reason being that on the highest "turbo" settings this type of light will only last for an hour and a half. On the lowest, which is equivalent to consumer grade, you get about 14 hours per charge on both of these lights.
I think the NiteCore will be a really cool addition to my arsenal of "stuff" and I am looking forward to messing with it and having it for many years to come.
TV
Watched last nights episode of Sons of Anarchy and it was another good one. Tons of shxt going down and pushing the club in several directions.
A big "uh oh" moment happened when Jax finally found out that Tara set him up, faked her pregnancy and the miscarriage from the fight with Jemma at the hospital.
I honestly thought it was the season finale because it was an hour and a half episode. Thankfully I was wrong and there is one next week.
I can't wait, tons of crap going down so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Based on the previews things do not turn out that great for several people. Also, it looks like Tara is not getting out of Charming with her kids any time soon. All that planning for nothing it seems.
Meeting Adjourned
Ok time for the workday, well meeting day really. Wednesdays seem to be my one day that I waste more time in meetings. Waste is actually a bad way to look at it but it does halt all of my production for a good part of the day and that sucks.
No matter it is what it is - on with the show! Have a great day....
Photo: Last nights Blue Apron meal. Cicely and I made this one together, which was a lot of fun. Really friggin' tasty and filling too!
