Pediatrician Interview

So other than today being Thursday and pretty much a normal one at that, we finally have our appointment to go and have the consultation with the pediatrician we are considering using for Zoey. Cicely is a little nervous as am I because they are a very pro-vaccination office.

Not necessarily a bad thing but there are certain vaccinations that we do not want for her, at least until she is old enough to make the decision on her own whether she wants them or not.

Not to forget there are a lot of vaccinations out there that are so new I just don't want to fill her body up with them. First thing that happens is you give them to the little one and next thing you know 5, 10, 15 years or what ever and wham, there is something bad with them. I would rather wait on the new vaccinations and get them later on in life once they are more proven.

Anyway all of that talk aside, we are really happy to be meeting the pediatrician today. She is supposed to be really good based on everything we have read. I really like the fact they have two different waiting rooms as well. They have one for the sick kids and one for the not sick kids so you are not cross contaminating.

All of the rooms are themed and fun to make it a little more exciting for the kiddos while at the doctor, the last place they want to be.

So we will see how it goes and if we are not satisfied then we will need to start the search for another one to interview. I figured it would be easy to find one but I was totally wrong, they are much harder to get into than I would have ever imagined. I should have went to school for that - sounds exciting and profitable at the same time. Although dealing with the sick or injured kids or worse would completely break my heart.

**Update: The interview with the pediatrician went great. She was very personable and has a nice office, staff and so on. We did not have a ton of questions but those we did have were answered perfectly and things we did not think of, she did - and expanded on. All-in-all we think her practice will be the one for us and baby!

After the appointment we ran over to the baby store and paid some more money on the dresser we have on lay-a-way, mostly so we can have it, but not have to store it at the house until we are ready for it to go in the room. While there I picked us up a diaper bag that we wanted and had on our registry so one more thing down, only a zillion more to go ha ha.

Enjoy

Have a great day and enjoy what ever Thursday brings. Tomorrow is the end of another busy week and it's on to weekend stuff. Possibly visiting mom, getting more work done in the baby room and that sort of thing - actually looking forward to it, it was a lot of fun last weekend. Honestly I am ready to build the crib and related though, that will be big-time fun!

I may update this post later today after the pediatrician if I have time or any news about the visit. Otherwise rabble-ya' on the flip side!
