Sup' Doc

Up showered and gone first thing this morning so I can get to an early doctors appointment, oh joy! Actually it should be nice and quick since it's mostly a follow-up to go over my last blood work results and to see if I need and prescriptions sent in to be refilled.

Cube Life

After my appointment it was a mad dash to get into the office for training again today. We are having it pretty much every Friday to try and help get everyone up to speed on our new game engine. Problem is that some of us, myself included, will not be using it until FY15 more than likely. So hopefully we remember some of what we are learning or at the very least there are enough of those that have been using it that we can mentor one-another.

Mom

Stopped by moms house last night after work to check in on her. She gave us a little bit of a spook by not answering the door right away but after a quick phone call she opened it up. I guess she was already getting herself and her fuzzy kid ready to call it a night.

She was doing fine and was happy to see us for an hour. We brought her some fresh fruit as well that she seemed to really like. Cut strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. She has been weird about thinking that food is bad lately because of her condition so I hope she does not throw it away.

We also made sure that her fuzzy kid, Nemo, had a nice full bowl of kibble and a second bowl filled with fresh water. He did not chow down right away mostly because he is a picky eater but at least we know it is there if he gets hungry and mom happens to forget if she has fed him or not.

Flight Simulator

So I was finally able to get my new wireless adapter working for the flight simulator. I had everything hooked up correctly and bound as it should be but I did not notice that the wireless adapter had a port for the satellite receiver - doh! Once I hooked that up and did the binding process once more the entire thing worked great, woot!

It was late and I was pretty tired already so I only flew for a half hour or so before calling it a night. This weekend I will get in a few more flights I'm sure. I need to practice so I can figure out more of the techniques to smooth flight. It's much harder than people realize, basically the equivalent of balancing a marble on a marble.

Red Light

I think that will do it for today's entry. It's finally Friday and it has been a long and busy week. Filled with training, meetings about meetings and so on. You know, corporate life stuff.
