Deliveries & Memories

I waited as long as I could to do my entry today, there is just not much going on other than the normal day-to-day activities at work. This translates into me being super busy trying to catch up on things that have gotten a little bit away from me during the studio move.

It's all coming together, just slower than I would like - I guess that was to be expected. Oh and my cube is still not complete as I have a 5 or 6 foot wide entryway, zero privacy and the lights are on. Anyone that works in this industry knows what I am rambling about. I prefer a nice dark cave to work in - not the case right now although I am told, promised actually, that all of these little issues will be resolved soon - I will keep the faith!

Toys

Last night was pretty cool once we made it home and after taking Oggy for a walk. We stopped to get the mail and it was like and early birthday or holiday with all of the packages crammed in the larger of the community mailboxes. There were 2 items for me and 2 items for Cicely, then our normal mail up top in our usual box - oh and no bills which adds to the awesomeness!

One of my packages was my new mini RC short course truck that I ordered last week. It is awesome and I cannot wait to set it up and drive it. I would before the weekend but then I will end up staying up until the butt-crack of dawn which makes for a rough following day.

One of the packages that Cicely got was actually one that I ordered for her from Think Geek. It was 10 of  the My Little Pony "blind box" collectibles. We were certain we were going to get a few duplicates because there are 24 different characters total. To our surprise she went 10 for 10 and did not have a single duplicate and actually even received several of the characters she was hoping to get. How lucky is that? She was really stoked and so was I.

Another one of Cicely's packages threw her back to her childhood days. She has been talking about and looking for this children's encyclopedia set for as long as I can remember. It's one that she had when she was young and has never been able to find the exact set since. Well about a week or so ago she finally found it and went ahead and ordered it. The set showed up and is missing one of the editions (#5) which we knew up-front, otherwise it looks as though they were never opened or looked at. I mean brand spanking new! So awesome that they showed up like that - you never really know when buying off eBay and related although I think she picked these up off of Etsy.

In reality I think the only thing that would have been better than the set she got is if by some miracle she opened the pages and it had colorings and marks in them from her original set - how freaky weird would that be? I shared that with her and she was like "whoa, that would be freaky - freaky but cool". I could not agree more, but I think what she received was awesome and worth every penny - big-time kudos to the seller she bought them from!

Cut-Out

That would be about all for today. Time once again to get back at it and continue to get shxt done while the getting is good! As mentioned at the beginning of the week, tomorrow is going to be a bit of a wasted day as far as productivity goes because we have our studio picnic, games and related at the nearby part. Should be a blast, and hopefully the weather places nice and the sun is not baking us to a crisp all afternoon.

Photo: Did not have many ideas for my photo for today, so here is a shot of my carbon fiber handled Spyderco EDC (every day carry). I mostly keep this one with me during the summer months because wearing shorts is not as suitable to carry something larger.
